Kicking off my Ultraverse reading with the first two issues of Strangers:

I liked 'em, though I don't think you could get away with something so on-the-nose today.

The Strangers came off awfully preachy especially early in the run for me.

The Pilgrim was a pretty good villain, though. One of the better Ultraverse villains.

Same here but for a team book it was a VERY good story for me and I looked forward to every issue from beginning to end. For me, it definitely had it's own style. Very nice use of colors.

I agree about the colors - very distinctive and fit the tone of what they were trying to do perfectly.
