I love GL stuff. I really do, but I'm really worried that the rainbow corps nonsense is getting old. Blackest Night was a tremendous let down sequel to the amazing Sinestro Corps War.

I'm wondering if GL is getting ready to jump the shark, nuke the fridge, or... color the corps?

I'd be more worried if it was a Blue Lantern series, already, but they've really built Attrocitus intq quite an intruiging character. With Milligan in charge, I'd be shocked if it was any less than entertaining. I do think they need to let the "family" of books stay at 4. Any more and it is too much. In fact, I'm not sure how long Emerald Warriors can really last.

Well Blackest Night was a mahoosive success and most people enjoyed the straight forward fun of it. Since then GL has introduced the different colour corps relatively slowly and I feel well into the DCU. Larfleeze has become a little bit of a joke, but at least hes a funny one! To be fair to DC they could have released 7 new series the week after Blackest Night all based on a colour corps and sold an absolute *SQUEE* load of comics for a while... instead they've taken it slow and personally I can't wait for a Red Lantern book as I've been waiting AGES to see more of DexStar!

Atrocitus is a great character, just like Sinestro he truly believes in his part of the emotional spectrum and his purpose, from his appearances in Blackest Night, to the flashbacks in Emerald Warriors to GL #61, he is continuly getting fleshed out into a character with real depths and not just the blood thirsty monster we all saw in Rage of the Red Lanterns.

Theres is a wonderful scene in GL #61 featuring Atrocitus and the Spectre, it starts off with The Butcher (Red Entity) about to possess a man whos daughter had been killed by a death row inmate and the Spectre intervenes, Atrocitus explains to the Spectre that his method of justice may balance the scales but it doesnt stop the pain people feel about their loved ones death and how they must unleash the pain they feel in rage.

im sooo amped for RL book

I like Atrocitus. He is actively trying to be a good guy, or at least as good of a guy as you can be with a name like "Atrocitus".

Green Lantern # 61 was truly excellent in this regard. I've loved the way they've built him up, slowly and with a certain logic. One of the best introductions-over-time, of a character of his magnitude, that I've yet seen.

It makes the Green Lantern Corps seem pointless.

Never said it was "childish", although I would draw parallels to some of the simpler organizational ideas of animation from the 80's.

But, if the book is great then post it here. I'm a GL fan, but I don't want an overly saturated market. That's why several of the secondary and tertiary Iron Man books fail after a year.

I agree about over-saturation. I'm happy with two books. I am enjoying 3 but I think 4 is enough. I can see one-shots and miniseries from time to time, based on different characters or colors, but otherwise, I don't think we need any more books except these 4 and frankly, I'm not sure Emerald Warriors can last that long, given what the current central concept is.

Sorry dude, didn't mean it to read like that, hence the new paragraph. It's just the kind of chat I've seen on other message boards or comments sections on the comic sites so commented on it.

I agree, emerald warriors should be a twelve issue maxi-series. But I guess it all depends on how this story arc ends. As for a red lantern book, im looking forward to it, but I wonder how they are going to make an appealing story line.. other than Dextar of coarse
