Valiant Writers?
HI all fairly new member here, but with all the excitment about due to the sale of the Acclaim Bankruptcy, Valiant has seen some serious action lately, and i for one have been praying and hoping for new books...
When Valiant was at it's heyday, it was the best company putting out super hero books because of the stories. Jim SHooter and company crafted some unforgettable tales that stand up to this day. With the recent buzz around Valiant and it's charactors being sold, I was wondering who you guys thought would be capable in todays pool of writers to handle the Valiant charactors. I'll share a few tell me what you think, and throw some of your's in.
Eternal Warrior-- Ed Brubaker... (Captain America/GOtham Central writer)This book needs a depth of mystery, and suspense that Brubaker has demonstrated very well especially in his Out of TIme Cap run.
X-O Manowar -- Garth Ennis (Punisher, Preacher) I envision a run by Ennis exploring the barbarian Aric, in his pre armor days, as well as hunting down spider aliens to their utter demise.
Archer & Armstrong-- Brian K. Vaughan (Y the Last Man, Ultimate X-Men, RUnaways) Humor and Action, both Hallmarks of all of Mr. Vaughan's writing. (Ex_Machina is up for an Eisner award and is a dam good read.)
Just some thoughts. ANyone else got any ideas? Artists too.

I'm not really familar with any of the new how writers that have emerged in the industry in the last five years. Sticking with what I know, I think getting Lapham on these books would be a dream. I've always thought Paul Chadwick (Concrete, The World Below) would be perfect for a "real world" superhero title. Kevin Smith and JMS would be great too but chances of getting either are slim even if you could afford them.
And here's a wicked thought: I wonder what Evan Dorkin (Dork, Milk & Cheese) could do with Archer & Armstrong
