I wasn't expecting to win this. Artifacts 1F "Jam" Gold Foil cover, triple signed. It was auctioned by the publisher and thoroughly hyped on their twitter feed, myspace and facebook. They were auctioning two other books that both finished around $20. Could it be that Christmas Eve is the worst night to have an auction end?

Maybe I am underestimating Artifacts' popularity?

I have honestly never heard of it before but you sure can't beat the price you got it for!

That's an awesome price... and I doubt if this is the reason that it sold for $1,
but their feedback rating (95.8) is one of the lowest I've seen for a "legitimate" seller.

Well, they are an Image publisher so I am sure they have problems shipping things on time. :P

I got my Artifacts in yesterday. The auction said that all auctions include a Top Cow bonus item. My bonus item was this, a copy of Dragon Prince 1 mycomicshop.com/Top Cow Store exclusive variant. I was a little disappointed - I was thinking something like a poster or small litho.

Anyway, they shipped the comic priority mail. At a dollar for the auction plus five for shipping and they spent $4.90 on shipping, that left $1.10 to cover two comics, labour, eBay and PayPal fees, etc. I think Top Cow is poorer for my having won their auction.

Very nice. I love me some Groo, but you seem to be the Groo expert around here.

I'm still missing the last few issues of the Pacific run.

Dark Horse was supposed to collect the Pacific run into the "Groo Treasury" with new extras but that keeps getting delayed.
But if you got the "Groo Chronicles" #1-6 mini-series from Marvel, the old stories are reprinted in there too.

I also scored this promo sell sheet for $30 that i'm planning to use as a front binder cover for the trading cards set:

I get like a crackhead for these Groo-ish items.

Trying to find a signed version of the 25th Anniversary Special now...

First book I have bought in a while. The feedback is horrible but his reason is understandable if true.

Taking a chance but if it pays off this book is insane cheap.

I think you'll be fine, but of course, paying with a credit card via Paypal to cover your butt would be wise.

Not sure why the guy didn't just start a new username, it's not like he had a huge amount of feedback on that account. :?

My LCS just restocked the 3 for a $1 bin and I did fairly well. Among the books I bought, I picked up 2 copies of Tales of the Green Lantern CORPS Annual #2, and Aircel’s The Men in Black vol. 1 #2 and #3.

The extra annual will be going to my teenage cousin who is a Green Lantern and Alan Moore fan—he’s going to be excited!

Awesome! I just purchased a set of Tales of the Green Lantern Corps 1-3 (featuring the first story of Nekron) last week. I was also surprised to find these issues featuring the first appearance of Green Lantern Arisia.

My best "find" of late however was that I received a beautiful copy of Eternal Warrior Gold embossed #1, and a variety of awesome goodies from hotwings1979 :) One of the items was a copy of the Valiant Marketing guide from 1993, which was SUPER awesome!

Thanks hotwings1979!!!!!
