Tales of Suspense #39 (c - Uk Edition) found in the trash.
I'm a long time lurker but rarely post on the forums here but I was wondering if anybody with comic trading/pricing experience could kindly offer a bit of advice.
I was at a house warming party last night when I mentioned comics to the host (a guy I've met once before, my girlfriend works with his girlfriend) and he asked me if I wouldn't mind looking at some comics he'd found (he's pulled them out of a skip, literally pulled out of the trash).
Not expecting anything of note I glanced through a bundle of silver age stuff and found...

An English print of Tales of Suspense #39 (note the cover price 9d, pre-decimal UK currency) and Action Comics #309 (a recalled book due to a JFK appearance that came out a month after his assassination).
He also had Tales to Astonish #49 (first appearance of Giant Man), but I didn't get the photo.
I have no idea of grading (and I know you can't grade from these photos) but all were well printed with no obvious rips or rust around the staples, I've also no idea what else I missed in the bundle (it was close to midnight and I'd had a bit to drink).
My question to people here is, does anyone know the best way for him to get these comics valued, and does anyone know how much the UK price 'stamps' affect value?

They are low grade enough that it doesn't matter. The pence copy of ToS 39, even a beater, is going to be worth some $$. If it's a G or G- it's a $600-$700 book. You should count the pages.Zool wrote:Thanks for the comments.

Are they just considered as like other 'mark' on the cover?
The Action 309 is nothing special as far as I know. There are lots available on eBay for under $20.
