Shooter's Dark Horse...Seeing the Weave :)

Post by JonesyAZ »

I posted this over at the Dark-Key forums after re-reading Doctor Solar FCBD through #2 last night:

I also enjoyed this issue, much more the first time out than issue 1.

For giggles, I decided to sit down and reread the Solar FCBD story, and issues 1 and 2, and I do have to say that reading them all in one sitting is a VERY enjoyable, and classic Shooter experience. Plus, like watching your favorite movie a few times, you start to see things you missed before. I'm going to go WAY out on a limb here....

In Doctor Solar #2, page 13 (of art) when Phil and Dr. Clarkson are sitting down at the Dionysos restaurant, take a close look at panel #5, where you see Phil's ex-wife and son. Is it me, or does Phil's son look rather "native" in appearance?

I wonder if Phil's ex-wife is a direct descendant of Turok. AND...if you look at the new Dark Horse Samson solicitation...Samson exists at the "end" of things. Could Solar's tiny modification of his past also created a ripple that ends up destroying our future? Not to mention that Samson's costume has a Magnus-esque look to it.

I'm starting to "see the weave" Lol...

I hope they are all related in some way, that was a lot of why the early Valiant was so cool, the way it pulled all the stories together.

Also the LoveJoy Corp, owned by Tanek Nuro (he who orchestrated the reactor accident) is also the same company at which Magnus faces down the robots at the end of the FCBD issue. Coincidence?

I am going to say... no.

Currently taking a Literature class and if one thing that I have learned from this class is that writers do not believe in coincidence and use certain words, names and actions for a reason.

Clever and cleverererrrr... rer.

Maybe Shooter can plan a big event called "wholeness" as Untiy is already taken. Not alot of synonyms for Unity

If you believe that I got some ocean front property in Arizona for sale and if you act fast I'll throw the Golden Gate Bridge in for free.

Very interesting suggestions. I didn't think about the possible link to Turok until reading your post at DK.

Awesome that you're taking a lit class!

I'm thinking that Jim has big plans as well, and we simply don't have enough pieces of the puzzle to work it out.
