I don't give a sh!t about him, what he says, how he feels, and what he thinks.

Same as I am beginning to feel about you.

Are you saying that nobody here cares about you or cares how slym feels about you?

Mister, these comic book boards (here, Lyria, CGC, DH, 'rama, etc) have had all their members cross paths in cyberspace at one time. Some very bad blood has been created between certain people. Some of it is debates about stories. Some of it debates about artists. Some of it is over deals gone bad. Meaning that some people have been screwed out of $1000s of dollars. We even had one person STALKED by a fangirl. We've lost a member. We've also seen a messy divorce spill over onto these pages.

Some serious sh!t has gone down on this board through the years. That has caused some members to leave on their own, be banned, and I am not sure if there are criminal/civil actions pending against a few. At least there is a restraining order out there.

My point is this: The best thing for you AND Slym to do is just walk away from whatever is brewing.

Advice for all for the future: Don't be a former members sounding platfrom on this board. Let them be their own voice.

Righteous, super-strong barbarian in post-apocalyptic future. The set-up is fantastic. The science was, typical for its period, pretty clunky or just totally wrong, but the underpinnings were very cool.

I put together a full set once the series was announced. Once you read a few of them, you get the idea of what they're like. There ARE some really good concepts in there.
I did not know anything about this character and now I am excited. Sounds like an interesting storyline. :thumb:

You invited yourself into a discussion between me and another board member. I don't remember either one of us asking you to add your two cents worth of comment. Stay out of other people's business. If I need your opinion I'll ask for it.
Excuse me - I was watching from the sidelines, not a comment was made by me until YOU dragged me into "it" by name, making me some ridiculous offer to sell me some crap. I invited myself nowhere, you brought me into this by name.

I also see you still haven't learned to be "done with this tete a tete" and get the hell "OUTTA HERE."

You keep saying you are done, then make another comment. As long as you continue to be the antagonist, I will keep defending myself.

I read the first issue of Samson when I heard that Shooter was going to redo it. Kinda bizarre but maybe that was the point, I mean it was the 60's. If i were comparing it to Solar, Magnus or Turok, I would have to say I can see why it wasn't the first choice to remake. In some ways I think its going to be difficult to revitalize. The character came out in a time when the fear of nuclear war and how the earth would look after that was a pretty new fear. Today we have seen this over and over in lots of ways. I think we are somewhat jaded about post apocalyptic stories. Not saying it can't be done, but I think Jim is gonna have an up hill climb. Then again if you had asked me in 1990 if a reboot of retro-robot fighter from the 60's would have been relevant and engaging I would have, and did, move on to the next book on the shelf. It wasn't until four months later on a recommend from a friend that I gave Magnus a shot. (luckily before the boom) I had no idea who Shooter or this dude in the skirt was, but I was wrapped up by a relevant, thought provoking story. I hope I'll feel the same way about Samson in a few months!

Gentlemen, I respectfully ask that both of you take this to PMs or stop with the negative posting in the thread I have started.

Just looking for people's view on the upcoming Samson series and I am not very familiar with the previous issues either. I can say that now knowing that Frank Thorne was on the first few issues, I am more interested in trying to dig these up for a good look at the art.

The concept sounds very interesting... using the word 'righteous' to describe him was a very interesting word to use. Knowing that certain people use certain words for a reason (thank you American Lit class), why use the word 'righteous', JC ?

I was looking forward to this, until I read Solar & Magnus. It was enough to get me to drop them after a single issue and focus on the GL books, Fables, Chew & Walking Dead(that last in trade form).

"Mighty Samson" tells of the origin of Samson in the "primitive world of the future" and how he teams up with Sharmaine and her scientist father Mindor and in "Ancient Weapon" a hidden supply of rifles leads to a conflict with Kull the Killer and his tribe. Issue also features "Keys of Knowledge".

Thre are issues on mycomicshop.com

After that descrip...meh. :hm:

Here's the first issue. He's got the second on his site too. I liked it!

His mother charged him on her deathbed to protect the weak, etc. He takes the charge seriously, hence the term. :)
