Dogs of War was my gateway book into Defiant, and it was also what clued me in to just what it had been about Valiant that I loved so much!

I don't stay up to date very well with industry developments but it seems to me that DH is building a considerable amount of momentum.

Maybe they'll take the original VALIANT concept further than VALIANT did.

It's really the same premise Shooter had for The New Universe...the "World Outside Your Window." He's even stated that they were doing the same thing at VALIANT as with The New Universe. I've little doubt that's the type of universe we'll be seeing with this new Dark Horse launch.

I wonder when there will be more creators announced for this line. It can't be too much longer...

Lately I only recall seeing Lapham listed as a writer, though I might be overlooking his working recently as an artist. Anyone know what the last comic he's worked on as an artist was?

I may be wrong, but the most recent thing I could find that had Lapham art was the last issue of Young Liars. :?

I was hoping he'd draw a Dark Horse Gold Key book.

I would guess that at some point he will end up doing a project with Shooter while he at DH.

I hope so. I would love it, and I think it would bring added excitement to the line.

I think he did a couple fill ins on Fables? Not sure though. He also wrote and drew a 30 days of Night miniseries in '09 which I totally missed.

I loved Stray Bullets, but I've never been able to get into any of the books he just writes. :?

Not sure about Fables as it wasn't listed on his wikipedia page. I saw the 30 Days of Night mini, but it was over before the last issue of Young Liars came out (again, according to his wikipedia page), so I went with that. :P

He did a two parter in Fables recently. It was the issues set in Flycatchers kingdom about a trial.
