Marvel US Transformers #6-My first comic ever.

Ghost Rider vol. 2 #1-The first comic I ever bought at a LCS.

The Infinity Gauntlet #1-My first Jim Starlin and George Perez comic and certainly not my last.

The Incredible Hulk #388 (or the issue where the smart Hulk debuted) the first time a writer really blew my mind, something PAD continues to do.

X-Factor #200-The first X-book that I bought as a single issues and continue to buy in over 15 years.

I thought the Professor Hulk was the best Hulk incarnation. Really cool :thumb:

Im pretty sure # 377 was the issue where Samson finally helped combine all the parts that made him the smarter Hulk.
The cover was cool, but not as cool as # 379.

I believe Anthony Snyder has the original pencil art to this book's cover for sale on his website in case you are interested.

One of my favourite single issue stories is a Superman book. Can't remember the number but the front cover shows Supes descending upon a group of people with his cloak appearing as red wings. The story is about an old woman who thinks that Superman is a guardian angel sent by God to protect the people. Touching story.

The Maxx was actually incredibly cerebral. I still contend though that I've found a lot of similarities between the Maxx art direction and the artwork of schizophrenic patients. Seriously, I've often wondered if Sam Keith has some mental health issues that he manages or whatnot.

I always felt that The Maxx was painfully pretentious and tried way too hard to appear deep and cerebral. It was always one of those books that was much better to "look at" than actually read. Been a while since I read it, though.

The artwork was tremendous, though. Some of Kieth's best, especially those early ones. His work has always been hit or miss to me. I remember a Wolverine story he did with Peter David in Marvel Comics Presents that was painful. There'd be gorgeous artwork for couple of pages, then total garbage for a couple of pages. Made for frustrating reading.
