Not to bump an older topic back to life that doesn't really warrant it, but I figured this info might be good for new members to see high in the thread list. Maybe I just didn't see it and didn't find it on a search, but I noticed the chat client is a jpilot applet. Is it connecting to a real IRC network or is it self-contained? If it is connecting, would someone mind (if it's ok per the site's rules) telling me what server and channel? The applet doesn't want to work a lot of the time for m,e but I can always fire up mIRC or even just use Opera to chat if I wanted to, but I need to know where to sign on exactly.

any ideas why that would pop up?

ok, this is getting annoying. i tried the applet just now in opera (my default), chrome, and IE. Every time is the same response: "Unable to connect to server".

So I tried with an IRC client, that's when I get either no channels or that weird banned msg from my last post.
