Low Print Run Valiants.

Post by Bak2Val »

I see everyone speculating about pre-unity possibly going up in price, but what about the last say 10 issues of most titles that had print runs between 15-30 thousand,Does anyone see a chance of them rising again also? After being away for over 10 years I can't believe you can by these so cheap! Incredible.

Technically you can find all books on ebay, but some books don't come up as often. Even when those two books are up on ebay, expect to pay above $10 + shipping on them. The word has gone out to the public and most likely these days you won't be seeing them cheap anymore....

The last issues have been higher priced because of their low print runs...but their stories are (all in all) nowhere near the pre-unity quality wise...so if you are getting them to read, don't bother...
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

Yeah, most of the end run storylines are pretty disappointing.

Yeah, most of the end run storylines are pretty disappointing.
especially x-o...sweet jesus.

bob layton has admitted that the final x-o story was done as revenge on acclaim. he wanted to try to make it as difficult as possible to bring aric back.

mission accomplished.

The final X-O story was like a mercy killing to the book considering how bad it got starting with Birthquake.

I got mine for a quarter when Valiant hit rock bottom. Along with almost every other end title. That was a good day.

to be fair to mr. layton (who takes a lot of *SQUEE* from valiant fans...deserved or not), i read that some time ago and after trying to find that actual quote i can't.

so, basically i don't have anything to back that up...but i did read it somewhere...on his site i think.

but i dig bob, after all the crap that was going on at the end of the valiant era i'm glad someone had the balls to *SQUEE* with acclaim a little.

By "summary" I just mean a summary of what happened in the final storyline. My last issue of XO only goes up to 54.
