That is what was offered to me... all in all I hope comicsyte95 thought that the entire package was worth the accord that was agreed upon. He set the terms for the transaction.

But to answer the question direct, yes... I ended up buying AND bartering for this statue.

I just popped into my LCS yesterday and picked up :

The Rook (Harris Comics) 0, 1, 2, 3

Just a Pilgrim (Black Bull) 1, 2, 3 (I know I needed #1 as I think that is missing from a recent board member order, if anything reading books and freebies to someone who might need and issue or two)

Elven (Ultraverse) Limited Foil Edition #1 (MINTY copy)

Deathmate (Valiant/Image) Pink NIIIIIICE copy

The Amazing X-Men (Marvel) #4 to finish out my Age of Apocalypse. I think I need the Omega, I forgot about X-Man 1-4, X-Universe 1-2 to be complete as well as more of the gold TPBs, I only have three right now. I got REALLY lucky, I picked up all of the runs (sans X-Man and if I go back I bet I can find it), any of them like Weapon X 1-4 bagged and boarded $3.00... and so on and so on. For me this is GREAT as I was JUST starting up trying to snag these

The Snake Ashcan Edition #1 (Anubis Press)
The Snake #1 (Anubis Press)

Shadow Slasher: Blood of the City (Pocket Change Comics) #1, #3

Zen Intergalactic Ninja (Ashcan) "Tour of the Universe

Some odd Spidey issues, I've never seen these before (any info on these ?):

Spider-Man Produced in cooperation with the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse (Special Edition Sponsored by 7 Eleven) - Verbal Child Abuse

Spider-Man and Power Pack Produced in cooperation with the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse (Special citation noted by President Ronald Regan) Sexual Child Abuse

Marvel Comics and The Electric Workshop Present Spidey Stories #42 and #49

OH and lastly for freakin cover price of $3.50 !!!!! Doctor Solar (Dark Horse) #1 both covers.

I think I am going back today as I saw what must have been 30 different Zen Intergalactic Ninja and Baby Zen

And if there are other folks out there that do not like to hear about what people are lucky to stumble onto or can afford, maybe they can make a thread about what they would like to have or can't afford.

Most of this is just bargain basement stuff anyways.

Just picked up a huge stack of graphic novels from none other than Forbidden Planet! I was shocked to get so much great stuff for pennys!

Superman Chronicles Vol 4 - £5 the most expensive thing I got but seemed worth it.
Marvel Masters- The art of Jim Lee (huge collection) £2.
Noble Causes Vol 5 - 25p
Noble Causes Vol 6 - 25p Never read any Noble Causes but seems like an interesting series.
Infinity Inc: Luthors Monsters £1
Devi vol 3 99p
Dave Stewart's Walk in - 50p - Never heard of it!
Stve Rude's The Moth 25p- Never heard of it!
Jordan Raskins Industry of War vol 1 - 50p - Never heard of it!
Highlander vol 3 - 99p
Warlash: Dark Noir (Asylum Press) 25p - Never heard of it!
Skreemer 25p - Never heard of it! But written by Peter Milligan and winner of Eagle awards
Encyclopedia of Wonder Woman - 50p
Panel 2 - 25p -A collection of comic scripts

If anyone knows anything about the stuff I've never heard of let me know! But overall a very enjoyable trip to Forbidden Planet!

It worked... I used it in today's briefing to our 3 star general.... I got that 'WTF is that, Mr. Scott' ? So, I said... "EXACTLY, that is why our focus must remain on this next slide, sir."

M boss brought me to the side later today and said, 'don't worry about briefing the General for a few weeks.'

Not sure how to take that.

Yes, we have a 'Master Needs List' that I have started in the DU section which is Dead Universe Centric, but I brought 'other stuff' into it as well as the 'most of us' in the DU section are just giving books back and forth and this also occurs outside the DU section well (as I spread the werd, hahaha). Easily enough, if I have it as a double or no longer need it, you can HAVE it with NO expectation of giving me anything in return. Now if you happen upon something later on that I need and send it to me, well then God love ya and that was a nice thing to be done but I NEVER expect anything in return. Also encouraged in the DU... IS trading, this is one of the BEST ways to help others out as well as help yourself out seeing as how we are in this current economic breakdown we are in with guys just not being able to afford books. Heck, I have taken my 'new books' list down to almost nothing and am forced to wait until I get get a decent deal on Ebay or a board member no longer wants their books. Right now I am new booking Dynamites "Project SuperPowers" - all and Dark Horse Solar and Magnus (Turok and whatever comes later) and lastly Halo for some reason.

But in this we can keep track of our DU stuff and the odds and ends... now monthlys, well thats on you.

Man, My Virgin DU collection has not been touched in MONTHS and I loath myself for not giving it the attention that it deserves but I have not been able to find ANY Virgin books anywhere. Maybe a Directors cut here and there but that is it and ALL the Virgin TPBs are going for cover or MORE. Almost as bad as the freakin' Crossgen books. Wouldn't you think that the TPBs would START to drop in price ? I JUST had to do a dope deal with ticktuck to get two new TPBs for whatever. That TPB collection is gonna take a WHILE. I have at least seven new DUs I've picked up since then. There are loads of them out there waiting for the taking but yes, we have places in which to have a online repository when out and about (it a nice LCS owner allows you the usage of his hardware) as well as a place to keep and print from your own collections. I find that MAJOR bonus for this is if I find a handy dandy lot of books from whichever universe for cheap, it is easy for me to pick them up and then send them to the person in need. Easy stuff... somewhat organized. We even have Draco's excells spreadsheets to further our Dead Universe collecting.

Yeah man, shoot it to me via the email button. I have all the issues (except for a couple 2nd prints) and just have the TPBs to go (a major under taking itself unless I can find 'em in a $1 bin somewhere, then it is GAME ON)
