More eloquently stated than my long ramble...lol.Dr. Solar wrote:The question wasn't "when does Pete's eye first sparkle?"
It was when is he shown using his powers, which to me means that something is shown happening on the page that is happening because the use of his powers.
As occurs on page 1.
I agree

I award you each half a pointDr. Solar wrote:If we agree that Pete raising his hand in class is him showing the use of his powers, then Dino gets the point.
If we agree that catching the glass in mid air next to the bed is him showing the use of his powers, then I get the point.

I downloaded the podcast last night, listened to over half of it, only half paying attention last night, then I loaded it onto my iPod and started my "real" listening today while I went for my walk. Got about 20 minutes left to listen to. I'll have to double check the Harby #0 thing, but I'm inclined to believe that the answer to the question should be the first time Pete utilized his powers in any form, not the first time his powers manifested in a visual way (cute rainbow effect) to the reader. No offense to the 'Veen man intended!

In-Betweener. It is the same one. And worse yet - I paid sticker price and didn't haggle. I couldn't haggle with Ron Lim - his name was a revered one in the halls of my childhood.Dr. Solar wrote:Is that the one you were talking about? The Galactus/Beyonder fist fight?Chiclo wrote:The two that stand out the most are Ron Lim Silver Surfer original art from issue 18 and a really sick Anti-Monitor print from Greg Horn.
(Was it beyonder? Can't remember)
That triggered a bit of a buying frenzy of original art on Sunday. The wife picked up a Jack of Fables splash page of Golden Boughs and then we raided Jim Calafiore's bargain pile that Bob was talking about.

All my Harbinger comics are "in the closet", I'd have to dig them out to check.JonesyAZ wrote:Lol...Blood of Heroes wrote:Dr. Solar wrote: If we agree that catching the glass in mid air next to the bed is him showing the use of his powers, then I get the point.
Why was he 'horsing around' on the bed?
I believe this was the beginning of a plot-thread that was never "explored" all the way?

Hey folks, I have a specific piece of feedback I am asking for, from those of you that have listened to our most recent episode from SDCC.
At times, a couple of us were talking at the same time, and talking over each other.
I think the pro of this is that this is how we actually talk, and I think it leads to more energetic conversations, the con of this is that it may be hard to hear.
What do you guys think of this?
When we usually record, the technology limits us to one person talking at a time, and when we all talk, someone (or everyone) tends to fall out of the mix.
What do you prefer?

I am down with either way, to be honest. The only thing I would recommend is not splitting up the conversation to one or two of you on the left channel, and the other on the right channel. The few times that was used made it difficult to listen to, in my opinion

Your setup was awesome Sean and I can hear you guys much better on this SDCC podcast than last year's.Dr. Solar wrote:Hey folks, I have a specific piece of feedback I am asking for, from those of you that have listened to our most recent episode from SDCC.

I think you guys argue like a bunch of girls, which causes the overlap most times!Dr. Solar wrote:Hey folks, I have a specific piece of feedback I am asking for, from those of you that have listened to our most recent episode from SDCC.

I'm fine with keeping it the way it is, more "organic" that way.

Wasn't there going to be a Dr. Solar Exclusive issue at the ComicCon?

The split is an accident when it happens. The way my recording program works, it puts me on one channel, and the other people on skype on the other channel. I always intend to balance it, but once or twice I forgot.JonesyAZ wrote:I am down with either way, to be honest. Which way is the "way it is"? The way it is is both ways, depending on which recording setup we use.I'm fine with keeping it the way it is, more "organic" that way.
