Can anyone tell me what the Chew 12 variant is being sold for out there?

How about the TWD 75 SDCC variant?

If you happen to see the Chew variant and think of me, I'd gladly pay someone for it and some of the TWD show freebies and whatnot. :peace:

Added some pics.

Will add more tomorrow --tired from the drive from SD to PHX.

Here's a pic from inside the Dark Horse Convention Signing Book that features a Magnus and Solar:

A friend was able to score me a rare ComiCon exclusive of "Comic Book Guy #1" signed by Matt Groening too:

Nice. These were very hard to get. Bongo totally screwed up on this one, and kept changing their own rules about how they would distribute them.

They really made it a mission to get....my friend was only able to get this one because he was a friend of one of the creators and was able to score it on the side....

I heard they were releasing 40 copies a day or something....I still need Futurama #50...

There was also a 3rd Bongo comic exclusive that was handed out at the FOX booth too:

Here's Matt Groening talking about the issue from the San Diego "Futurama Panel"...at the 6:40 min mark:

Those issues seem to be easier to get on ebay now...

The other 2 are still pretty high though...

That is the truth. At first, when it was going to be a Comic Book Guy and Futurama two-pack for $10 I was interested. When they split them up, not so much.

I showed up on Preview Night, about 5 minutes after the con opened, and got in line. Waited about 25 minutes and got up close enough to the front to have someone tell me they decided to stop selling them for the night.

I call this a "dick move". They could have told folks in line. Or they could have just sold them until they were gone. Either way, they wasted the first half hour of the con, pretty much the most valuable time for getting exclusives.

Anyway, I made it my first stop the next morning, and they said that they were gonna form a line at 11 am for people to get one, and that they were selling only 40.

I got there a little before 10:30, and a huge mass of people started to arrive.

Eventually, they decided to hand out tickets with numbers 1 through 40, and they gave these tickets to a few different guys, then walked out in the crowd and randomly gave them out.

Since I was close to the booth, I saw who had the tickets, and just followed one of the guys around until he discreetly started handing them to random people, then grabbed one from him.

What a mess.

sheesh! what a mission. They should have made the print run higher this year than just 200 issues so there was more to go around. Last year's RadioactiveMan exclusive at least had a 1000 print run and was easy to get on ebay afterwards for $30. (originally $10 at the con)

I've been watching ebay prices and this year's issues have been ending in the $70 - $100 range for the Futurama and Comic Book Guy issues.

I heard they were selling a signed slipcase/hardcover too but those weren't numbered like the other two.

I was able to score the same numbered version of the "Futurama #50" exclusive to match my "Comic Book Guy #1" S&N that a buddy of mine got at the show:

They should do a tickets/reserve system for fans next year to get these rare books. These were a goose chase to get! Waka Waka
