I'm getting ripped off on shipping

about therosser
With this guy's rip off policy on shipping, why does this guy still have 100% positive feedback? How come no one wants to neg him?

Re: about therosser
I suppose it's fear of retaliation. That's why eBay's system is broke.tanord wrote:With this guy's rip off policy on shipping, why does this guy still have 100% positive feedback? How come no one wants to neg him?

If after what you went through and the guy still doesn't list the correct shipping in the auction, I think its clear he knows exactly what he is doing.

I would neg him...if you had to post on this board about it, you have to neg...I think that I am going to start a new rule. I dont want to hear about your ebay crap unless a neg is involved...If you come on here and complain about shipping, turnaround, grading, or anything else and dont neg the guy...I dont want to hear about it...make the system work. This isnt directed at you depluto, just a general head's up on my new policy...ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:I'm kidding.
Unless he REALLY *SQUEE* you off.
Then, all bets are off. I have HAPPILY negged idiots who screwed me over and left positives first.
Duh.
The transactions not OVER, and they leave feedback.

Ok I have finally had this happen to me and it really *SQUEE* me off.
I recieved an item that I won off ebay a single book. X-O Fan edition. This member offered 3.00 media mail and 5.00 priority shipping. Well I paid him the 5.00 for the priority (we can get into why I had him do that later
) the item i bought was only 2.00 on a buy it now. so I sent him a money order for 7.00 on the item i recieved it today and he sent it media mail at his cost of only 1.42.
So I gave him $3.58 for free and he pocketed that. I know it's only 3.50+ that we are talking about, but thats not the point :x
I sent him a really scathing Email asking him why I didn't recieved the item i bought in the manner that I paid for it. He hasn't left me any feedback and I don't plan on being nice on his if he ignores me on this.
Screw my 100% rating this really *SQUEE* me off :x
All I wanted was to recieve the item the way I paid for it........thats all. Nothing more nothing less

Just another form of shipping profiteering. NEG the *SQUEE* and let us rejoice. Then give us his id so we can all buy $1 items and neg him again just for being a prick. :xbetterthanezra wrote:Ok I have finally had this happen to me and it really *SQUEE* me off.

I have a different view of those things than a lot of you guys do. I really don't care if they take a couple more bucks toward the shipping (its happened to me as well a few times) as long as the COMIC is what I paid for, and is shipped securely
I don't quite understand why so many of you get hairs up your arse about it? sure its a bit shady, but nothing criminal, and certainly not worth a negative feedback
Just my opinion

I tend to agree, but it does chap my *SQUEE* when they charge $10 and the package arrives with shipping totaling out to $1.76. *SQUEE* butt rappers!Peter Parker wrote:I have a different view of those things than a lot of you guys do. The difference here is that BTE was given a choice between Media and Priority and specifically paid for that method of shipment. I would neg him if he did not refund the difference.Peter Parker wrote:I have a different view of those things than a lot of you guys do. As a matter of fact I did that once. The auction stated that "buyer pays exact shipping". I was charged $5, paid $5, and it cost $3. He had already left positive for me so the neg was easy when he copped an attitude when I asked for the $2 refund.
That said, it does not bother me one bit when someone quotes a shipping cost upfront and then makes a few buck off of it. So long as they are up front about the cost then I can factor that into my bid.
It's the lying that bothers me and that warrants the neg.

Exactly thats the whole thing that upset me "I was given a choice" I paid for Priority and got media mail. If the guy didn't give me a choice I wouldn't have cared.....I did recieve the book fine.......this is a matter of principle and I even wrote to him when I sent the payment that I was paying the extra $2 to have it shipped priority.Technique wrote: The difference here is that BTE was given a choice between Media and Priority and specifically paid for that method of shipment. If he ignores me then fine I'll neg him and post what his Ebay name is so we can all avoid his auctions in the future. FYI he isn't a member of these boards at all.

Nice way to get my 250th post

I agree, what would someone be thinking unless intentionally shipping it wrong to collect the extra dough. You go to the post office, they ask how to ship it and just screw you. Unless he had some *SQUEE* go for him or something. He should give you your extra back without hesitation.
BTW, there is that phrase again..."butt rapper". Surely I can use it if it is used this freely. What do you say whet?[/quote]

I bought from this same guy, 2 auctions won and initially he wanted $10 per (nothing combined here) or $20 to ship 8 comics.400yrs wrote: I tend to agree, but it does chap my *SKREE* when they charge $10 and the package arrives with shipping totaling out to $1.76. *SKREE* butt rappers!
He settled at $15 for the lot and the actual cost was under $4. I had even emailed the guy twice prior to the auctions' closing about combining lots and he conveniently never responded -- of course that's the obvious hint right there.
Then the seller didn't bother enclosing them within cardboard when shipping and I had even NICELY and politely asked

I just bought some valiant books from someone posting in the selling forum here,& I got ripped on shipping bigtime.I'm seriously thinking of taking advice & setting up a new buyer ID on ebay.Yes their feedback system sucks.....so I pay 14.00 to ship 10 comics just so I wont get 5 negs.I don't know if I can post a link or not,is it against the rules? It even said on his auctions that he combined shipping....won't buy from him again! As I am a seller with over 100 positives, perfect record,it's not worth it to me to ruin my good rep.RANT!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6525449484.......This is for reference...he says combine shipping.Don't let his positive feedback fool you by 5 auctions from this guy & see what you get! If i'd known beforehand about the true shipping price I would not have bid......
But hey you live & learn that there's all types on Ebay....
