Dark Horse solicits for September:

Troubling, for a start. Looks like Shooter & co. are either late or on a six week schedule to get books out.

NO September Solar listed.

Well I don't know if it's troubling.

You actually answered your own question on Solar (and helped me figure it out). Issue one ships on July 14 and issue two on August 25, exactly 6 weeks apart. The means the next issue should come out October 6.

I'm not sure which thread it was, but someone already emailed Shooer and he confirmed the miniseries designation was typo and Magnus was ongoing. The same may be true of Turok. Or Dark Horse may be doing it's typical "ongoing series as a series of miniseries" thing that they do (like with BPRD).

I meant troubeling because comic buying zombies expect a monthly comic to come out monthly from an "ongoing" but it skips a month so early in the print run...

This is something buyers are not used to, but we as DK fans can and will get used to!!!

As many delays and incomplete series as there are nowadays, I think most fans are just ecstatic to see a comic come out period. LOL

Based on what Dark Horse usually does with all of their books, I am beginning to wonder about this launch.

I don't mean whether I will buy it-that's a given. I'm just really starting to think that the whole thing is going to be unconnected mini-series.

When is the last time Dark Horse did an on-going monthly?

Dark Horse did ongoing series of Dark Horse Presents, Madman, X, Ghost and Star Wars some years back. Within the last several years they've done ongoing series of Star Wars: Republic, Star Wars: Empire, Star Wars: Legacy, Conan, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Usagi Yojimbo...and that's just what I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure there are dozens more.

Repeated intereviews with Shooter have said that the Gold Key titles are in the ongoing series set in the same universe. Every interview and quote from Richardson has refered to them as ongoing series. Shooter himself confirmed Magnus is an ongoing series after some solicitations listed it as a miniseries.

So I'd say there's a 0% chance of them being a series of unconnected miniseries.

You must have missed Chiclo & I's back-and-forth banter in another thread where I even linked to the DH site and listed out some of their monthly titles.

Yeah--I'm okay with every 6 weeks, as long as they come out EVERY 6 weeks, and not every 8-12 weeks because of constant schedule changes.
