Wow that price is kind of ridiculous. I'll pass! Well at least someone got an answer out of him. I emailed him twice in the past month and didn't get a response to either email.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere, but what's the page count on this book?

If you are talking about the Magnus/Solar book, it's supposed to be 32 pages.

Mail Order Comics has informed me my copies of the Dark Horse FCBD I'm getting through them should be shipping to me sometime this week. :thumb:

Just heard again from MOC that Diamond severely shorted them on their Dark Horse FCBD order and I won't be getting mine shipped out this week. They said I'll likely be getting them next week, which I won't mind as long as I get them.
My order was essentially a reorder, and it may have fell through the cracks.

A store owner told me the Dark Horse FCBD may have been somewhat overlooked by retailers due to Marvel and DC both having strong FCBD offerings this year...

Still, with a print run of maybe 50,000. Is it really hard to find?

I didn't say it was hard to find. Just passing along what I feel is an interesting tidbit. Aren't you supposed to be working?

With a rough figure of 1,300 comic shops in the US.

Small stores ordering 25 copies large stores ordering 250 copies

I'll use the figure of 50 for an average. More small stores than mega store in the US.

1300 X 50 = 65,000. Then I removed stores that did not participate and I estimated 50K.

I'm fortunate to have sold around 40 copies of this FCBD issue on eBay for 2.99 ea and am now raising my price to 3.99. Not sure if they'll sell at 3.99. If not, I may just tuck them away while the launch gets going.
This is, after all, the first appearance of the Dark Horse Solar and Magnus characters, and launches the entire line. Also, it sure doesn't seem to be plentiful.

confusing auction, in the description, it says they are VF copies, but then lower down in the description, it reads New, NM or better.

The seller has posted in the B/S/T forum, and there he offered 4 copies (the same 4?) for $10 each, but referred to them as F/VF copies. :?

I would guess that they are VF, especially if he's offered them elsewhere in that condition.

It looks like he uses that middle description part in all of his auctions. I would say that he forgot to change the condition for this auction.
