I wonder if Swanland can handle drawing a full regular monthly comic..... :hm:

They should get him for the Magnus zero issue at least and release it as a graphic novel.

oh man, razzin' ya like crazy dude ! :D

You are very right though, 'out there' is a good work. Kinda like a Alex Ross Astro City cover once... the 'superhero' was wearing spandex (of course) and you could tell 'the way he was leaning'... if you know what I mean.

Hey, I like Alex Ross' art but this here, all realistic and all... well it is just gross.

MAGNUS, ROBOT FIGHTER #2

Image

Jim Shooter (W), Bill Reinhold (A), Wes Dzioba (C), and Raymond Swanland (Cover)
On sale Sept 15
FC, 40 pages
$3.50
Miniseries

At the feet of the milespires of the utopian megalopolis North Am, in the shadowy regions where the dregs of humanity dwell, Magnus invades the stronghold of the "Metal Mob"—human criminals who use robot muscle to plunder and terrorize the city. Big Guns, the cyborg mob enforcer, along with scores of brutal thug-robs and assassins, stands between Magnus and the "Pens," where kidnap victims await ransom, auctioning into off-world slavery, or being sold by weight as a protein source to the Arcturians. Leeja Clane and the stunningly beautiful Cinnette, both kidnap victims, are prime material for the chattel trade. In a lawless land, Magnus fights against an army of ruthless killers to save the Metal Mob's prisoners, especially the woman he is quickly falling in love with.

Magnus is back with a vengeance! Written by comics legend Jim Shooter and illustrated by Bill Reinhold.

I wonder why they list it as a miniseries still, even though I thought shooter cleared that up on another site.

That is a sweet cover regardless.
