That is some good business practice right there.
Agreed. Nice bonus. Very good way to build a great business relationship.

Believe our man ddc is a dealer.......of comics. There is a website which acts as DH's direct link to consumers....http://www.tfaw.com/. If DH makes it, tfaw probably has it.

At the moment I'm only seeing 2 copies of the variant available on eBay. It'll be interesting to see how many are put up in the coming week or two.

Thought the regular and variant had the same cover art and content with only the label being the sole difference. :?

I want clarity on this - is the C2E2 edition a "variant" of the FCBD book, or is it not???

Notice the C2E2 edition doesn't say "FCBD" anywhere on the cover.

:?

I say it's a variant since the insides are the same and the only differences I see are the cover differences.

Looks like it's holding steady, but not gaining momentum...that should change once the actual books come out, I'm guessing.

Con in Phillie coming up will have on-site CGC grading, so I am going to guess the answer to your question to be "not long at all."

While most of my posts here are clearly not as the Overstreet guy, this one is:

The C2E2 edition of the FCBD Solar/Magnus issue IS a variant.

(So let it be written. So let it be done.)

The reason for this certainty is that the indicia is the same, the contents are the same, and the interior was undoubtedly printed at exactly the same time as the FCBD issue.

Hope this helps.

JCV, does that set of criteria also apply to newsstand vs. direct editions?

That's a very good question, Greg.

Generally speaking, when we know for certain or at least for a reasonable certainty that the interior is printed at the same time, it would be pretty easy to make the case.

That said, there are a lot of exceptions to this, many of which will be outlined when Overstreet #40 comes out this summer. It has the most comprehensive lot at variants we've ever done (including some help from you, of course!).

One of the things that really drove me crazy as a collector and as the guy documenting this stuff was the Marvel newsstand variants around the time Bendis was on Daredevil. Completely different title, same cover, no numbering...
