aw, c'mon, it's pretty looking. I'd gladly pull a bunch of those out of a bargain bin.Daniel Jackson wrote:robicj01 wrote:Trust me, its been a year and a half of bargain bin hunting, go through enough you will find good stuff. Like in my valiant story, in that same bin I found an autographed Deathmate Tourbook for a dime.
9 cents too much for that one....

I got lucky and won Turok 47 in a ten book lot for $2.50 on ebay. Trying to finish Turok scares me.
A few months ago I managed to score a Bloodshot 51 for like 80 cents, in decent enough condition.
Now to try to get lucky on a Harby 0 and Magnus 0 with card, although I think I'm gonna have to suck it up on those heh.

GREAT deal. The BS #51 was commanding crazy prices a few years ago.Daniel Jackson wrote:Great deal on both of those.evophile wrote:I got lucky and won Turok 47 in a ten book lot for $2.50 on ebay. Trying to finish Turok scares me.

If VEI can get books out, and be successful, and there begins to be a demand for back issue Valiant books (I know.... a lot of "ands") it will be the end run books that will sky rocket in price.
All the dealers will pull out there pre-unity and middle run glut from the storage bins, but it will be the Turok #47, BS #51, XO #68, EW #50 that will really bring in high dollar.

Thanks. I thought I was lucky when I saw BS 51 for $1.60 but the store was having 50% off all back issues!Elveen wrote: GREAT deal. The BS #51 was commanding crazy prices a few years ago.

Yeah, a few months earlier I think I paid $10 or $15 for BS 51. I'm trying to complete my run hopefully before the market goes crazy again.
I still have to track down XO #68, Magnus #64 and a better condition EW 50 for my collection. I actually don't think I've seen an X-O, but have turned down Magnus due to price.

The Magnus book seems to turn up quite a bit, so you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting one for a decent price.evophile wrote:Daniel Jackson wrote: Great deal on both of those.Thanks. I agree. I think that is the most common of the 1st tier of end run books.
1 tier = Bloodshot 51, Turok 47, XO 68, Solar 60, EW 50, Mag 60.
2nd tier = Shadowman 43, Harby 41, Rai 33.
3rd tier = the rest.
