 Solar looks a whole lot better now! Magnus looks a little cartoony too me for some reason, not as real as the Valiant Mag but that's fine, its SHOOTER writing Magnus! So i'm good. Very excited, thanks!!

The "Ratcrap" bugs me. One of the coolest things about VH-1 to me was the words that they introduced like "mellow vapor" "squee" "flooie" and the like, ratcrap is something that would be said today. :|

Really? I haven't ever heard someone say "ratcrap" as an expression of exasperation, not once. Maybe there is something in the droppings of rats that are particularly corrosive to the functionality of robots on 4001AD...

:?

All I know is that Shooter is behind it, so it can't be that bad, right?

Have you ever heard anyone say ratcrap? :?

Just sounds like another attempt at future slang like the others you listed. You can't expect Shooter to have used every future profanity in his short run on Valiant Magnus.

You're undecided about a free Magnus/Solar comic by Jim Shooter?

This is VERY refreshing to see... I appreciate the fact that we will be seeing new stories from Shooter with two of my most favorite characters.

I am not busting on Valiant, but THIS is the kind of thing that would get me back on Valiant's bandwagon. The fact that Shooter is not longer associated with 'Valiant' (for a third time... or 'thrice' ) is like opening an old wound with a rusty spoon.

It makes my heart feel good to see these pages... it is the hope of what the New Valiant could have been. IMO, a Valiant 'with' Shooter would seal the deal and would have had me buying EVERYTHING without hesitation. A least Dark Horse can put out nice looking Valiant books...

I kid...

Dark Horse is really working at this whole GK relaunch imo...

I saw a order form today (long story-library related) and in it was a Turok collectors card set for $15!

That's cool!

Actually, my post was just a general info post-not a response to yours.

Figured everybody'd line up to buy these!

Dr. Solar looks cool.

Magnus looks OK. Not great but not awful either.

Too bad there won't be any cool hand-colored art from this launch. :|

:o

I had an opportunity to get a preview of the Magnus FCBD story last night, and she's very pretty!!!

This reboot gets two thumbs up from me! :thumb: :thumb: It's got a different feel from the Valiant Magnus, probably because it's only a short story with not a lot of room to flesh out too many ideas, but still looks like this is going to be an exceedingly fun ride!!!

Thank you Jim Shooter!!! Thank you Dark Horse!
