Mr. Taddeo wins the auction....

well i have to say that today Mr. Taddeo is not the only winner, but every valiant fan on this board is a winner because of this news.

In the past few weeks I have read many articles/statements/ and posts here and on other sites, from other members and Mr. Taddeo himself, that lead me to believe that our beloved characters are in the right hands.

to sum it up

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

It's great to see that Priest is optomistic on the return of Q&W. I'll be ready! :thumb:

Anyone? Anyone? Depluto? Anyone?
Well, Taddeo reportedly had a bid for $200.000 a couple of days before the auction.

Love this quote:

You can say a lot of things about Quantum and Woody, but that’s one thing Doc and I were able to do with that book that you can bet we’ll be back to doing again – telling fun stories that engage the readers, put a smile on their face, and tell a good story all at the same time.

Q&W was a bright spot for Acclaim, no doubt.

It would be great to see Quantum & Woody return. This was one of the few books that Acclaim did right.

Actually, they did a pretty good job with Bloodshot, Troublemakers and after issue #15 or so, Shadowman really started to come around. In fact, I would not mind at all if John's version of the Valiant Universe uses the V3 Shadowman.

so do we have any more info on these "valiant intellectual properties" peeps? are they affiliated with taddeo at all?

the thought of having someone sneak in and buy the trademarked names out from under john makes me violent.

has anyone heard from john taddeo? i'll feel a whole hell of a lot better after he's made some sort of statement.

lets hope that VIP, LLC is john taddeo...

and here i was thinking that after yesterday all the drama would be over.

I assume he means the people that created the group trying to get the trademarks have been involved with valiant in the past,,, not the group directly.

That's what I meant,
Priest as well I guess :P
Priest: “So now, a new entity, Valiant Intellectual Properties has approached Mark and me about this, and we’re working out the details as to how it might work. All I can really say beyond that about them is that they’re people that we’ve worked with before who’ve been big supporters of Quantum and Woody previously, so we’ve got the established relationship, and are anxious and excited to see what their plans might be, and are optimistic that we’ll be able to bring Quantum and Woody back, intact, as they originally existed.”

I don't think he's too concerned with that - he proved that to me by winning the auction. :thumb:

I think he makes gobs of dough through his other businesses and this new acquisition may be a labour of love.

He's a business man.
He's VERY concerned about making money.

I'm saying that I think he makes enough elsewhere so that he can eat the up front investment long enough to build something out of the new Valiant.
