Wondercon 2010 (Apr 2 - 4)
Wondercon is just a couple wonderful weeks away.
Anyone here going? Iggy? Kikit? BTE? Johnny?
I'll be there for the duration, even on Sunday, a great way to spend Easter! Yes, Wondercon on Easter! lame? Or awesome?!?

Depends. You're not planning on dressing up as the Easter Bunny, are you? If so, there's only one word for that. Starts with L and ends with E.Dr. Solar wrote:Wondercon is just a couple wonderful weeks away.

Nothing other than what I already posted. I squeezed out what I could.
Wondercon was a fun show this year. A lot more mellow than last year. No pickin' up chicks till 4am, and no late night drunken poker games.
I hung out a bit with Johnny RnR, good times as always. Hung out with a couple buddies and a lot of folks from the CGS boards.
There weren't a ton of Valiants, and not too many deals to be had. There were a couple waaaaay overpriced Harbinger #1s ($50), and one guy had a box of Valiants for $4 each, but nothing really worth that in there. The only book I picked up was a nice copy of Solar 7, since I have the least copies of that issue out of the first 11 issues.
I talked to Sean Chen and Bernard Chang for a bit on Sunday, Bernard is drawing Superman right now, and Sean is working on a Marvel book. We chatted for a bit about comics, the new Solar/Magnus stuff, stuff like that.
As far as comic purchases go, I picked up a couple cheap silver age Green Lantern books for my run, I'm about 70% done now. I picked up 8 or so Doctor Solar Gold Key books, and I got a nice copy of Conan #24, second appearance of Red Sonja and her first cover appearance, and awesome BWS art.
Picked up a bunch of Hardcovers and trades for 50% off (or more), just a bunch of random stuff from Annihilation to Star Wars to Buffy.
I started a sketch book at this con, and started it out with Dave Dwonch and Super Ugly drawings. I knew they would set the tone for what I wanted to do in the book. Ugly didn't finish his drawing, so he is gonna do his drawings and mail the book back to me.
The coolest thing I picked up was a skate deck with art by Dan Cooney printed on the bottom. He does a book called Valentine about a contract killer. The deck looks pretty rad, and it's going on my wall. Here's a link: http://twitpic.com/1dahgt
