Looks like the big draws are Brian Bolland and Frank Cho, but there's still 4 months to go. This is the one con I hit every year and I always have fun.
Any of you guys going?

I am moving to Bluefield WV, that's only a 3-4 hour drive, I might try to make it down.Tim wrote:Looks like the big draws are Brian Bolland and Frank Cho, but there's still 4 months to go. This is the one con I hit every year and I always have fun.

You're going with me, bro...YOU ask him!slym2none wrote:You should print out the "naked" Cap pic and see if he would sign it.Tim wrote:Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about meeting Bolland.sanman wrote:I was considering it—Boland and Sale would be great signatures to have.
But not as stoked as I am about Liefeld.

First day was awesome!
Sitting downstairs here at the Westin because we have to pay (WTH?) for internet in the rooms. Had a blast today but being up nonstop from 10:30 until 7 gave me out. I picked up a TON of loot and filled some gaps in my collection.
Unfortunately, not alot of Valiant, and what I did find was predominantly post unity.
Here's some pics of the loot - no valiants

Had a fantastic day! Got to meet some favorites of mine for the first time (Jim Starlin, Rob Liefeld, Jose Marzan), and make some new friends (Marat Mychals is one of the nicest people I've EVER met at a con) and pick up some great sketches and signatures.
The only person I wasn't able to get a signature from was Brian Bolland. By the time I made it up to his table his agent told me that he wasn't doing any more signatures today. He said to come back tomorrow, and when I told him I wasn't going to be there tomorrow it was basically "oh well....tough luck..."
Kinda lame.
But it in no way ruined my day by any means. This is probably the best time I've ever had at Heroescon.
If you check Rob Liefeld's blog I'm in EVERY SINGLE picture he posted from today.
I'm the guy in the black t-shirt with a pair of sunglasses on my head in the middle of the third or fourth row.
I posted the sketches I got today on my gallery thread here...
