I'm thinking of a Leaf cover with ALL three generations and the Modern leaf's sidekick, the Sapling, running at the reader!

StarBrand wrote:Just sent the cover concept for Surprising Theater 2 to our cover artist for that issue. It involves a couple characters I created. No, I'm not going to start hogging the covers to all of our issues! The cover to issue 3 will feature John Michael Helmer's The Leaf and whatever else he wants on it. (Within reason, John, within reason). :D

X-O better be doing the cover or else I am turning in my birth day AND driver's license :insane:
Ha ha! Actually, I want to get as many talented creators as possible involved with Surprising, and I'm sure you'll agree the cover artist for Surprising Theater 2 fits that description when I announce who it is in a few days.
Stuart Berryhill, aka X-O HoboJoe, is indeed drawing a 7 page story for Surprising Theater 2, and isn't too far from completion. He's doing an outstanding job, and actually seems to be getting better with every page he turns in.

The new Surprising logo. I came up with the concept, hired a logo designer through eBay, and it's since been redesigned by our production manager George E Warner, who designs things for us.

Just got initial character designs and cover concepts from the cover artist, Steve Williams, aka steverino, for the cover to Surprising Theater 2. Very enjoyable stuff! (It's tough to keep something like this a secret).
Steve will be listed as co-creator on a villain called Brick, as he's doing the design work on the character.

Prelim of Brick by Steve Williams. Brick created by Steve Williams and Mark F Davis. I've got more complete art on Brick by Steve which I won't release just yet.

On one of the cover prelims Steve did he wrote Beaten By A Brick which I like an awful lot. Don't be surprised if the cover actually says just that on it!

I think someone made him angry by stealing his tootsie rolls.

The character's not finalized quite yet. There will be a little bit of revision.

We gotta get those colors just right.
