Weirdest Concept

So whilst rifling through DU comics I have often came across some strange and bizarre titles. What are some of the strangest concepts you have read? Did they work?

Good or bad share your strange findings... NOW!

I'm going to kick off with Bazooka Jules... Draco sent me this a few months back with a ton of other stuff and the concept is pretty funny. A young schoolgirl obsessed with guns and large *ahem* jugs comes into contact with advanced weaponry that gives her exactly what she wants:

I thought I'd kick off with something light hearted and simple to explain. It's pretty childish humour as you can see, it only ever got 2 or 3 issues so sadly Jules is no more.

I always thought Sludge was an unusual name for a comic character, as when I think of the word sludge, I think of...well, fecal matter.

Also Bazooka Jules was superb. A really good laugh. Shame they never finished it. No Draco didn't publish it.

Along the lines of Battle Pope, I always thought this one was kind of weird:

So we take a nun, give her a sword (and a claw?), dress her in skimpy clothes and have her go out and kill people? I've never read the book, but it just seems like an odd concept.

No, we weren't saying Draco published the Bazooka Jules book, we were talking about the Claus book, which says "Draco" in the upper left corner box.

Wires crossed here guys, Drift Knew you meant the other book, we have stacks of Com X stuff and also another case where humour doesnt come across right. Funny really isnt it, no one actually thought i really published it or was suggesting it but somehow we still manage to get confused all the same

Neil Googe went on to bigger things, which was always the idea for the ComX guys.

I don't know why, but Warrior Nun Areala has always drawn me. I've got a bit of a collection but I haven't sat down and worked through a checklist for it.

The clothes are a bit skimpier than one would expect for a book about nuns. When the God Armor is summoned, there's nipples.

The concept makes a lot more sense if you read it. Sort of like a Knights Templar kind of thing, a Catholic order of nuns that are trained to throw down with demons and such. Areala refers to the spirit of an 11th (?) century Warrior nun who was considered the greatest Warrior Nun ever and Sister Stephanie of the current day is thought to channel her spirit.

Not to my knowledge. I'll probably do some reading on Areala tomorrow at work since I am thinking about it now.

I have a really laid back job.

What about Evangeline from First Comics. James Bond as a female Nun in the future that goes out and kills for the Catholic Church.
