Free box of comics turned out to be a Valiant minicollection

Hello Valiant fans,

My friends call me Oli, and I'm from Texas. A friend of my dad gave me a few boxes full of comics that he found at a house he bought. I went through them and saw some were bagged and had some price tags of between $3.25-$85. I immediately googled a few and came upon this site. After further research of the site and the comics, I found out some of these are uncommon-rare but none are worth that much, but still hold a little value. Most are in VF conditition. I was never a fan of comics, and was planning on selling these for whatever I could get, I even put up a few on e-bay, but now I'm not sure if I want to do that. The comics include Deathmate, Harbinger, Rai, Armorines, Unity, Chaos Effect, etc. From the research Ive done the most uncommon ones are as follow:

Deathmate blue,red,yellow, black, epilogue, and prologue. All GOLD editions.

Rai 0,1,2,3,5

Chaos Effect Omega GOLD

Unity No. 0 RED

Harbinger 1,4 W/coupons for no.0

There's hundreds more I have not gone through, but these just mentioned were the only ones bagged and boarded. A few days ago I had no idea what any of these terms meant, but thanks to the site Ive gained much knowledge in hours. Ive gained more appreciation for the collection, now that I know that someone took a while to put it together. The owner of the house where they were found said the previous owner didnt even know what was in the box, he just left it there and was all dusty.Now im deciding between selling or keeping them....

It's a shame you're not a fan of comics, because there are some mighty good stories to read in those books.

im planning on buying old worn down issues of these to read, these seem to be unread and i dont want to take them out of their bags.

Just a heads up on selling. This is not exactly the best time to try and get top dollar. Prices have been steadily going downhill for quite some time. You may want to wait a bit and see if the prices return to normal.

Thanks, Ill wait a few months and then reconsider.... im thinking maybe getting a couple of these cgc graded, but first i want to make sure i dont lose out on those.

Comics are meant to be read and these are some really good comics. I say take them out and read them!

Great find, thats for sure.

Most of what you have listed are worth at least a little.. and a few are work over $30.

Deathmates... not sure much

The market is down right now.. not sure when it will swing back up either. Maybe soon, maybe never.

If you want to sell them quick, this is the place to do it. eBay will work too.

CGC is fun. You could always send them in and and prescreen for 9.8 and above.. prescreen costs #3, I think.

Great stuff!

PLEASE dont forget to read these. If there is any way you can grab some lesser condition issues to read, you would never regret it. Very good reads, for sure.

yeah, the fact that most of you books are VF and probably less, then go ahead and read them. if they were truly mint, then maybe keep them boarded for now. enjoy.
