I finally found out that the game works like real life for the most part. The enemies aren't wave after wave until you hit some magical checkpoint. For the most part just take your time and clear your rooms. There is no need to rush through Brazil. There will be plenty of that to do in later levels.

This game may have the best campaign of any FPS I've ever played and it tied into MW! really well. A blast. I just started playing the SpecOps (or whatever they're called) missions and they have been a nice little time waster while I'm waiting for a room to open up on multiplayer. There is nothing better than bringing in an AC-130 in multiplayer. Good times, good times.

I am playing Advanced Wars: Dark Conflict.

It is superb. I have liked the AW series since I started playing it with AW2 but often found the characters and their abilities a bit OTT.

Dark Conflict is set in a bleak future after a meteor storm has decimated the planet and as a group of surviving military it is your job to help survivors and provide stability but there are people with their own ambitions and agendas at every turn.

The same turn based system as previous incarnations that is easy to learn but difficult to master and a really cool storyline provide hours of fun and challenges galore.

DS gamers need to get this especially if they are already fans of the series.

I just got done completing the campaign Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and still working on the Special Ops section. Outstanding sequel. Even has a hommage to Red Dawn on there. I'm mostly been looking ot bump up achievements on Halo and Gears of War.

I'm playing virtual console games along with WiiSports Resort. on WiiSports I got Pro on all the swordplay games, cycling and got all the icons in flyover and still got tons to go. Swordplay and cycling are my favs on there.

On the VC, I just beat Kirby's Adventure with 85% (didn't bother finding switches in the last couple worlds). Never played a Kirby game before and had a blast. All the different powers he can get are awesome (he's like a Megaman who eats his enemies). The graphics and animation are amazing and way more than I thought the NES could do.

And I just started the original Phantasy Star off the VC. Totally addictive. I forgot how much I enjoyed 8-bit RPGs. I've got a girl and a cat fighting monsters on different planets that are occupied by guys who look like clone troopers. It doesn't get much better than that. LOL

Just platinumed AC2, thinking about going back to Ghostbusters for my last three trophies there - the dumb drinking fountain trophy, then two multiplayer trophies.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time... I can't escape... toooooo addictive!

I stopped playing Pokemon games a few years ago until this one and now I can't put them down again. I have to have them all, they have to be the strongest...

I do like this mission based dungeon set-up the mystery dungeon series hass created too. Never repetitive.

Picked up Nights: Journey of Dreams for cheap a couple of weeks ago and have been playing though it. Not quite what I expected, but still, it is a fun game for the money.

You basically spend most of game collecting items and defeating enemies with your flying powers. A few of the levels can get aggravating, but for the most part, the levels and bosses are pretty easy to beat. Visually, the game is pretty cool, but it is not a very long game, so it loses a few points for that.

Not sure I would recommend it, unless you are a fan of the previous Nights game that came out for the Sega Saturn.

I've been playing Pro Evo Soccer 2010 for about 10 days now, and even though it doesn't change much from game to game it's kind of fun to relax with. I like the style of play better than EA's FIFA games.

Can't wait to get Bayonetta in a couple of weeks.

I am not buying anything more until Darksiders hits the streets... wow, does it look like fun.

After that, I have my eyes on Dante's Inferno (playing the demo right now and it ROCKS) and God of War III (BEEN playing the hell out of that demo).

I also picked up the upgraded 720p God of War I & II, so that I can go through the whole experience AND know the story. I think it was a GREAT idea to re-release these games. I hope that Sony does the same with a few of the older PS2 games.

The great debate. Pro Evo vs. Fifa. I've always been a Pro Evo guy but recently they haven't seemed to show much improvement whilst Fifa is getting better every year. Soon I may go to the darkside.

In the middle of Fable II. Trying to get the housing magnate trophy.

Just started Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Not very far into it but so far is good. Done in the same style as Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass but with a train instead of a boat and is totally controlled via touchscreen, which is going to take some getting used to. Already had the typical infiltrate the castle sequence so I was happy with that. Need to play more.

I played Fable 2 for a good time, great game. Didn't finish it though... need to get back to it at some point.

They're eventually going to have to put Link in a plane or something. Actually, probably a hot air balloon.
:P
I have a copy of Spirit Tracks, but haven't started it yet. I hope the presence of the train is at least justified.

Nintendo usually puts their best foot forward when it comes to making Zelda games, so I'm sure it will all make sense.

Yeah, it probably will. The boat system in Wind Waker was just fine about 90% of the time. The only time it really got annoying was when the closest warp point still left you about a 5-10 min. boat ride from where you needed to be.

I took advantage of the GameStop sales that have been going on over the past few weeks and picked up:

Afro Samurai - 360
Far Cry 2 - 360
Terminator Salvation - 360
Wanted Weapons of Fate - 360
Condemned 2: Bloodshot - 360
[Prototype] - 360
Legendary - 360
Resistance - PS3

The games in bold are the ones that I had traded in for a 'decent' amount of cash, and now picked them up for WAY cheap including a buy two get one free deals, which really ended up with me paying about $10 (+/-) in the long run for the games.

Afro Samurai is as great as ever and hilarious to play.

Far Cry 2 has a very lush atmosphere to operate in and with me having been to Africa, I admit that they have got it down pretty well as to how it looks.

Terminator Salvation is just FUN to play, especially after watching the movie (which I thought was pretty entertaining)

Wanted Weapons of Fate does a VERY good job in taking over after the movie, giving a new fun ride associated with the movie.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot is a game that I had on the PS3 and couldn't pass it up for the price AND yes, I am diggin' the achievement points. Talk about a SPOOKY game, definitely do NOT drink and play this game.

[Prototype] is another game I had on the PS3 and was sorely disappointed that is was done in 720p. The difference in the game quality in the PS3 version to the 360 version is very substantial. The game looks SO much better on the 360.

Legendary, a game not to be taken seriously but it is entertaining to some point and besides, for the CHEAP price I got it for, I can't complain. It 'is' a pretty difficult game and the story behind it appears interesting.

Search the bargain bins, wait for the weekend specials and if you don't have a GameStop Edge card go and get one !! ($15 bucks gets you the card, getting you 10% more when I trade a game in and 10% off when buying a game, plus you get a year subscription to Gameinformer, which is IMO a VERY good look at all systems across the board. I have subscriptions to 360 and PS3 so it is a good mag to gauge the two different games on whichever systems plus PC, PSP, and other peripherals used in gaming)

And besides the way things are going in the job market right now, buying 'new' games is just not in the plan.

Put a few hours of game time into Far Cry 2 today... it is an honest to goodness pleasant game to feel, the vehicle chase scenes are very fun and man, if you start a fie, you better get out of there quick cause it spreads amongst the dry African grass incredibly fast.
