Insurance
I wonder how many people have their collection insured? And how would an insurance company value a one-of-a-kind item?

Re: Insurance
You would need to purchase a collectible insurance policy that specifically insures comics and such.dhudson1 wrote:I wonder how many people have their collection insured? And how would an insurance company value a one-of-a-kind item?

Wow. Never noticed this thread before. I look at E-Bay listings for original art from time to time, as do several friends of mine (although I haven't yet bought anything, mainly because of prices). I'm going to write down this info and give some copies to those friends. Just in case anything ever turns up. Sad to say, but I wouldn't be shocked if the thieves looked inside, saw it wasn't discs, jewels/money, credit/personal info and trashed it. I'll keep my fingers crossed and my eyes peeled, though.

Wow thanks for the offer to help. I think about getting these pages back often from time to time. Incidently, some thieves got caught a few months trying to break into another house down the street. I found out that made a total of 6 total houses in past 2-3 years including mine was were hit. I'm guessing these might be the same guys, They were prosecuted, but who knows what if they did with art....
