think about this people. they have skirted around the robot theme long enough. i believe it's time for magnus to have a movie of his own. even the gaming industry has dabbled with it to some extent. such a futuristic movie it would be.....I robot and star wars....all rolled into one! maybe will smith can get the bad guy role....he's dealt with robs before. who could fill the shoes of magnus.......??? think about the set....north am...it was done in the movie "the fifth element"....maybe bruce willis could fit the bill....they could even use the same set....it even had a goph level!
arnold did a good job with his terminator run....transformers are hitting the scene.......now it's time a new hero to emerge from the piles of carnage and broken robots........1-A......make us proud!

thanx.....this could happen. the ideas are out there, however with the goings-on between DH and VEI, it makes one wonder. i saw this bit on another valiant website {the other site?} and reading all that crap...it make one wonder if this could come to fruation. i know who jim shooter is and the artwork of russ manning is what got me hooked on magnus in the first place. i hope something good comes of all that mess, so maybe the pipedream i've been having will come true. i even started to find out who to talk to at warner bros. to suggest this idea to. i had also heard of a harbinger movie coming out...that would be cool too. i have a few issues of their stories and i like them too. i like shadowman also, but haven't read one of his stories. i have the video games though...the voodoo flavor is very tasty. like i said, i have always liked valiant comics. it's just too bad it took me this long to get back into the fray.

A Magnus animated movie would certainly be a step in the right direction and one I'd eagerly buy and probably a copy for my nephew too. Maybe one for the nieces depending on content.

Here is a link to a short animated tv commercial for Magnus from back in the day. Might find it interesting. There's a Solar one too.

I heard that Will Smith's "I, Robot" was more of a Magnus story than an Asimov thing,
but it was easier to get Asimov's name attached.

Thinking about the movie... :hm: ... maybe.

They did a pretty good job with that movie, just the right combination of suspense, science fiction and action.

what is an asimov? i'm not familliar with him....her.....it. it was a nice piece of film when will was fighting the robots in the tunnel. notice that they had a green glow when they were compliant, but a red glow when they were poised to attack. also an even funnier thing is that the glow would eminate where the heart would be located in relation to human anatomy. this is also the emergence of free-will thinking, when the robot was being questioned by will. one question to be thought of would be:
as in magnus, it was against the law for a robot to have the features of a human. should there be such a law to impose that an autonomical being , be made a robot, or an android? there are a few movies that pose this question. another movie asks the question: What are your prime directives? what movie is this?

Wiki... wiki... (wild wild west)

Wikipedia and some editing:

Isaac Asimov (c. January 2, 1920[1] – April 6, 1992;), was an American author and professor of biochemistry, best known for his works of science fiction and for his popular science books. Asimov was one of the most prolific writers of all time, having written or edited more than 500 books and an estimated 9,000 letters and postcards.

Asimov is widely considered a master of the science-fiction genre and, along with Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke, was considered one of the "Big Three" science-fiction writers during his lifetime. Asimov's most famous work is the Foundation Series; his other major series are the Galactic Empire series and the Robot series, both of which he later tied into the same fictional universe as the Foundation Series to create a unified "future history" for his stories much like those pioneered by Robert A. Heinlein and previously produced by Cordwainer Smith and Poul Anderson. He penned numerous short stories, among them "Nightfall", which in 1964 was voted by the Science Fiction Writers of America the best short science fiction story of all time, an accolade that many still find persuasive. Asimov wrote the Lucky Starr series of juvenile science-fiction novels using the pen name Paul French.

The prolific Asimov also wrote mysteries and fantasy, as well as a great amount of non-fiction. Most of his popularized science books explain scientific concepts in a historical way, going as far back as possible to a time when the science in question was at its simplest stage. He often provides nationalities, birth dates, and death dates for the scientists he mentions, as well as etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Examples include his Guide to Science, the three volume set Understanding Physics, Asimov's Chronology of Science and Discovery, as well as numerous works on astronomy, mathematics, the Bible, William Shakespeare's works and, of course, chemistry subjects.
