I didn't think I would care for Paper Mario, but after playing it for awhile it was actually pretty fun an imaginative.xodacia81 wrote:SMB & the new Metroid both look sweet. The rainbow bridge on the original had a part where ya could fall off teh track and land about halfway ahead of everyone else, a great cheat if you have nothing too loose and are way out of contention
the new one on the wii is hella hard i got 2nd and was happy, still had enought points to win first overall

I got 4th place. I had gotten 1st in the other 3 tracks, so I ended up in 1st place overall. But guess what? All I "unlocked" was a stinking jacket!superman-prime wrote:The rainbow bridge on the original had a part where ya could fall off teh track and land about halfway ahead of everyone else, a great cheat if you have nothing too loose and are way out of contention

OMG people know what Katamari is. I love the Katamari series. Cute, funny, cheesy, simple and a great soundtrack. Amazing games. All my friends think I am mad and have no idea what I am on about when I talk about them.superman-prime wrote:Katamari and SMB are super stuff I already got good vibes from my pal mario

I just checked it out. Simply wild. Trippy, even. No wonder folks think you're hitting the good smack. That looks NUTS, but in a cool way.Drift wrote:OMG people know what Katamari is. I rented Clone Wars: Republic Heroes for the Wii from Gamefly. It's from the same studio that did Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels which was a solid, fun fighter that perfectly captured the show. So it's a little shocking they just couldn't seem to grasp the fundamentals of a third person action/adventure game.
The camera is pulled waaaay too far back and is mostly static, making everything unbelievably tiny and, at times, it's hard to see what your doing. And the platforming is broken. Some of the worst stuff I've ever played.
That being said, after a couple hours of gameplay I started to have fun, atleast when I was fighting droids (which is most of the game). Once you get used to it, the combat is, for the most part, a blast to play with both the Jedi and the Clone Troopers.
My personal reconmmendation: don't buy this game. If you're a fan of the show or just played all the other Star Wars games and are looking for something new, give it a rent and be patient, you'll probably have some fun scrapping clankers eventually. At roughly 10-12 hours to play through the story mode it's a good rental length anyway. But if you're just looking for a Star Wars game, pick up any of them that have been put out in the last 5 years, they're better.

currently, my wife has turned me onto avyond....yea....kinda sissy, but i'll bite. i read thru the posts and couldn't help reading knights interpertations of the game f.e.a.r. come to find out, my son has the game....so, i'm gonna install it and at my son's advice, update the game before i play it. i like resident evil and parasite eve, so i think this should be another walk in the park...besides, i love getting the *squee* scared out of me. gothic was my last big fettish, as i am a role player, but they also have to have to have a lot of puzzles to solve in order to unlock the next area. since i got into the computer games, i have gotten used to the wide open spaces, so the game has to be good in order for me to be able to put up with scrolling screens.

F.E.A.R is a bit different to the Capcom survival horror games but is still damn freaky and will have you reaching for the ceiling.
If you liked Resi and PE, check out the first Dino Crisis on PSone. Resi with dinosaurs
The second DC was more arcade based action with the same engine (sounds weird I know) but was still pretty cool.

well' folks....i did it. i have almost gone thru the second section...i had to break down and find a walkthrough to see how to elude the little girl. getting there, i saw someone walking...and i'm shooting at him....my son taps me on the sholder and tells me i can't kill'em.....he's a ghost. lol. my son and i share somewhat different tastes in games..i'm into swords and he's the ops guy. one time i joined him in a game {i forget which one} and he told me not to stray from the group. well, i saw some baddies off the beaten path and went to go polish them off for the group......bad mistake.....i took a headshot....my son laughed. i didn't know the controls, so i am on the lesser difficulty.....now i have them written down, i will start another one on the default setting. yea, i don't mind showing you what a der i can be...it's half the fun. like in parasite eve, when you have to get down into the boiler room to set it to explode, and then having to get out of there as fast as you can with the creature chasing you.....oh, i forgot to mention that you are on a ship when you have to do this......you gotta get off the ship before it blows! man, the rush!!!
