dear defiant collectors...

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

can anyone give me any info on an issue i just found:

the title is "defiant: genesis"
#1 - october
has a "comicfest '93 - philadelphia" logo on the cover
it also is in a defiant ultra pro comic sleeve

i also found a "origin of the defiant univers" #1 with the same cover.

any clues?

well, it was given out at the Comicfest '93 in Philly, other than that, what do you need to know? It was later reprinted as "The Origin of the Defiant Universe". It's really not worth much unless it has a card insert in the middle, I believe it's a Dark Dominion card insert. The ones without the card insert are pretty common. There are also copies of Defiant Genesis that don't have "Comicfest" logo on the cover, I believe those are a little more difficult to find, but not rare or valuable by any means.

It's a very cool idea, and a decent read. Worthless, but brilliant.

Boy, those are three words you don't see in sequence too often.

no truer words were spoken...

Defiant and Broadway are two of the greatest non-completed comic universes ever made. I read the unpublished stuff that is out there for the Defiant crossover that was never released, Schism and I think that could have given Unity a run for it's money if done right!

Unity...

Schism...

Think he was trying to say something there, with his title?

lots of great stuff here, Defiant1 has done a fantastic job of preserving Defiant comics, it's around the middle of the page, Schism plot notes...
