MALEV WAR

Post by JonesyAZ »

Hi! Is there anywhere that I can see a list of all the issues that made up the Malev War? I've already read quite a few issues of Magnus and Rai & The Future Force. The story rocks so far!

I think it started fairly good, the ending had some "dramatics" but it was just lacking ...... something.

But not bad overall.

A pretty common book to get, but yes, it's a key book for that storyline.

That's what I keep hearing, and after some of the art I've seen in a handful of later issues, I decided to stop there. No Birthquake or Giffen for me! :atomic:

I really enjoyed the Malev war. Felt like a classic sci-fi film.

And the beginning is a lot like a new classic sci-fi film (The Matrix)

That's probably for the best. Once Giffen took over, he pretty much destroys anything good that was left in the title.

So, being that I am a noob to Valiant...lol...should I buy the entire run of Magnus, or stop at a certain issue? I would certainly like to eventually own an entire run of VH1, but if I could stop at a certain point maybe to save some dough, let me know :) I'm a poet, and didn't even know it?!?

To be "safe"-mentally and emotionally-it is best to stop at Magnus # 48, which is the last issue before it totally falls off the rails. Ok, no, it doesn't fall, it gets up a head of steam and jumps straight into the abyss AND does this somewhere in between issues 48 & 49. That isn't to say there is NOTHING decent from 49-64, but as a whole, it stinketh mighty...and yes, what is there that does not suck is at BEST only "decent".

Ive got the whole thing.. but I havent read through it all yet.

You can grab most of those books for $1 or so.. so why not?
