Just picked up an Atlas Seaboard set

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

Missing 10 issues (Movie Monsters 1-4 and Vicki 1-4, Gothic Romances 1, Savage Combat #2), but in really nice shape. I've querried a handful of the retailers I'll see at Pittsburgh, so I'm not going to eBay just yet.

The highlights are, of course, The Scopion #1 and 2 (Chaykin), The Destructor #1-4 (Goodwin, Ditko, Wood), and Thrilling Adventure Stories #1-2, perhaps the greatest B&W magazine ever.

There is something really cool about this set.
I still dont have a full set like yourself and love to pick them up as i go at the shows for next to nothing, although i understand the magazines are a nightmare to find amywhere.

Gothic Romances #1 will cost you a pretty penny unless you manage to luck into someone who doesn't know it's value.

Here's TheVisitor's Atlas/Seaboard website, a great reference site for these:

http://www.atlasarchives.com/

PS: To anyone who hasn't looked at that site recently, go check it now. There is an awesome Atlas/Seaboard commission on the front page done by Anthony Castrillo. :thumb:

Vicki is a b*tch to get.

Vicki 1-4 and the magazines are all I am short, and I really don't care too much about the magazines.

Dooooood -- most of the mags are so-so, but Thrilling Adventure Stories #2 may be the single greatest B&W mag ever, and #1 isn't far off.

Adams (cover), Goodwin & Simonson (immediately post-Manhunter), Heath, Severin, Toth, and Sparling.

I now have a spare set of Scorpion #1 and 2 if you need them. A retailer friend might also be bringing some Vicki issues to the Pittsburgh Comicon in a couple weeks.

I have almost a complete set... Missing Gothic Romances like most others.

I also have multiple HG copies of many of the rest actually. (Basically over a long box of Atlas Seaboards.)

I was lucky enough to get to a show early a year ago when a dealer had some old old shop stock and inside were many many high grade Atlas books.
I basically upgraded mopst of mine and filled many many gaps too.
Since then i have seen more, but the gaps i have filled were all mid grade copies.

They just look so cool.

Dude, YOU got me started on Atlas/Seaboard with a nice set that you sent me a couple of years ago. Now I am only needing a few to be at 100%, I have 2 X Vicki #1s and a #4 (I think, well I KNOW on the #1s) But I seriously love these books.

The ones you have are extra special...

They are copies straight from the old Atlas/Seaboard offices!...you know the story...

Plus the fact that you just plain, deserve them..... :thumb:
