All raw All the time now with CGC SS
I know I will be shot at with a tank, but I'm a newbie and need to sell some books. As many read in my HisStory page, I moved to Utah from NY and unfortunately only brought my variant box. All books are NM unless noted. Shipping will be $8 USPS ground and will arrive in 2 days. If you want to see pics I will post them they are a lot so I didn't want to take up like 7 pages of just pics.
Thanks for looking.
Thanks for looking.

Hey dude, le tme help you out and be honest when others may just shy away from the thread.
Yes you are correct being new and not having many posts will not help.
Secondly and take this from someone who knows the retail prices very well being a retailer, they are too high really.
Not by a huge amount, but there doesnt seem to be anything ground breaking in your list and i see these $7-10 book for $3-5 quite a bit and the $10-15 for $5-8.
The ones that are slghty higher than $10-20 on your list are not likely to get a hit at all as to be fair they are the strictly for variant collectors only and you wont find many here to my knowledge.
Im sure there are plenty of dudes here who like the odd variant, but in general i think we all pretty much stay away from the madness that is variants.
I myself absolutely do not support them in anyway until they are five years old and cost very little.
The market is flooded with this kind of product and its always going to be a hard sell.
I think you may well get the odd hit or two here, but your best bet is either ebay or slashing your prices so people here cannot resist.
My final piece of adive would be to stop spending your hard earned cash on this part of the comics world and instead look into trying some new books by creators who really deserve your $$$.
The publishers who pump out these variants and the retailers who push these books are not helping the industry at all. Its just easy cash for them all with little or no effort
If we all say no to overpriced retailer incentive variants and spread the good word on the crazy amount of quality available through out lovely industry it would go a long way.
Of course this is all just my opinion and im happy for anyone to step up and shoot me down in flames.
I re read my post and hope this doenst come across too hard on you or your collection of variants.

Not at all. We all have opinions and are entitled to them.
But you are right and I stopped buying variants cause as you said its way too expensive. The prices are negotiable I will slash prices tomorrow to give people a chance to see the thread and of course whoever wants to see pics I have them ready to upload.
Just didn't want to have 10 something pages and no one is really interested.
Thanks again

I think lower prices will help.
There must be a few cool items on there people here want at good prices.
Hell, i might even have had some myself if i were in the US.
I like the DC books to be fair and try to get them at cover or so a year later.
we were lucky enough to pick up two boxes of variants from the last two years for a joke low price and its scary how many of them did not get a sniff on ebay at 99p start price.
That really enforces my belief that you cannot manufacture high prices like this and expect it to keep going year after year.
Also glad you saw sense and got out while you can.
Good luck on the sale dude.

Thank you well by popular demand I lowered prices on most of the books.
Take a look on the original thread
Like I said I have all the pics ready whomever wants to look at them either here on the thread or in a PM.
Basically I just need the money for a show I didn't even know existed which I saw here on the upcoming conventions thread. It's the one in Dallas and I would love to get some James O Barr and Josh Howard items, which are the 2 people I asked if anyone had some back issues. Kill 2 birds with one stone

I know what you mean on the damn variant thing, I was in my comic store, and I was looking around to see if there were new arcs I could jump in on after I am done waxing nostalgic for Valiant/Impact. Well I heard Capt was coming back and thought that might be a good place to jump back in seeing as I LOVED capt when I was a kid. There were like 4 or 5 versions of the same book, and I couldn't even tell what one was the regular one. Plus some were over 5 dollars. I can't see spending 5 dollars for something that will take me less than 20 mins to read and will not retain that value.Draco wrote: My final piece of adive would be to stop spending your hard earned cash on this part of the comics world and instead look into trying some new books by creators who really deserve your $$$.

Heck Iggy sent me Zoom Suit issue 2 and it looked interesting. so I went to the publishers site to look for issue one. There are 3 or 4 versions of each freaking issue.
I thought it was bad back in the day when you had 2 versions of the same book.

This cycel will continue regardless of any bad press because too many retailers take full advantage over the situation.Orangeribbon wrote:I know what you mean on the damn variant thing, I was in my comic store, and I was looking around to see if there were new arcs I could jump in on after I am done waxing nostalgic for Valiant/Impact. Too many people told lies with no hesitation.
I know as i hear it all the time at the shows.
Im just glad this smart man is out of the loop and i hope he get some more sales here.
The prices are not too bad, but if he lowers them all to 50% of what he started with im sure they will go much quicker.
Other than that i really think he wil ljust be stuck with them full stop and thats harsh.
His retailer/s obviously never felt the need to advise him of the six months later variant syndrome.
Everything bar none will crash horribly and if you get back your money on anything then you did well, let alone make a profit.

NO dude, you werent.rawisokv wrote:I did get waaaayyyyy to crazy on them.
It was like a drug for me then I wanted to be different and get the overseas variant. I see I wasn't alone on these either lol
We are quite lucky as we hook up with some French retailers who have some nice bits.
I have two boxes of foreign language comics to offload soon.
Ranging from Spanish Conan with free transfers still on to standard Panini Marvel & DC reprints.
Some nice Spanish German Italian and French Marvel books from the last few years too.
Lovely original covers on them.
