Stupidity leads to enlightenment!
I collected comic books on an off since I was about 12. I quit for a while due to lack of funds and time. I started again at my local comic book shop with Youngblood # 1 & 2! I loved the image artwork back then but didn't know anything about a good story. I quickly began buying all the image books; Wildcats, Pitt, Spawn, Brigade, Cyberforce, you name it I bought it under the Image logo.
After months of my local comic book owner hounding me about buying Valiant (they were new, hot, and a great read) I finally bought a book. I don't even remember what it was but I do know Rai 0 was just released a month or so before. I read it and and several others released that week and then I was enlightened (when I imagine it there was angel music and a spotlight). For the next year I bought all both image and Valiant books released (that I could get my hands on; all incentive issues were magically sold to a better $$$ customer). I soon dropped Image like the garbage I think it is now (except deathmate of coarse) and bought Valiant until there demise.
A couple years later a stumbled unto another store and browsing through the back issue bin noticed new issues of Shadowman, Magnus, and others until the Acclaim logo. I new Acclaim purchased Valiant but thought they stopped and only made games with the characters. Quickly I snatched up all I could find, went home hopped on Ebay and bought every issue I could find.
The sad and somewhat disturbing issues that plagues me to this day is I looked at this site quite often during those times and never really paid attention to the Acclaim section if it was there.

Some would say even Deathmate is garbage. On the other hand, there are a few good Image books out there right now.tcolli wrote: I soon dropped Image like the garbage I think it is now (except deathmate of coarse) and bought Valiant until there demise.
