I'm still playing RE5. I'm the type of gamer that wrings every last nuance out of a game before I move on to another one. Played through it a bunch of times as Amatuer, played through it once at Normal. Now I'm blazing through it as Amatuer under five total hours so that I can get the Unlimited Rocket Launcher.
Next on the list is Bioshock. Yea, I know it's two years old, but that's where you can find your bargin bin gems. I hear Bioshock made 2007's Game of the Year by many sites.

Same here, especially if it's a great game. That's why I don't like games that have time limits attached to certain objectives. To me, it really takes away from the experience when you have to rush through something to beat a clock.david_albuq wrote:I'm the type of gamer that wrings every last nuance out of a game before I move on to another one.

No doubt, Daniel. When I first got RE5, my friend's son Levi in Nebraska would periodically call wondering how far I'd gotten and if I had beaten it yet.
A week later and I still hadn't finished it yet. I told him, "I'm taking my sweet 'ol time and finding every single one of those emblems." It takes a while to find all of those things.
I hear Left 4 Dead is a pretty cool game, too. Will have to look into that one sometime in the future. Love the whole zombie killing genre.

L4D has some very good reviews among the critics.david_albuq wrote:No doubt, Daniel. When I first got RE5, my friend's son Levi in Nebraska would periodically call wondering how far I'd gotten and if I had beaten it yet.

Resident Evil 5 360 version
I have all systems and I recently haven't paid my internet bill so I am forced to play Super Mario Galaxylol
Super Mario Galaxy is a great game, how far along are you? Some of the levels are pretty hard compared to previous Mario games.

I feel your pain.Draco wrote:My eldset ( charlie almost 6) keeps passing me his Mario cart on my wifes DS and saying daddy youll have to do this stage for me its too hard.
Then i realise how old and out of touch with video games i am when i cant.
Some kind words of advice about patience etc win through and he's off.
Mario Kart is a fun game, but there are some frustrating races in the higher levels. I basically gave up on getting all of the trophies because the other Karts kept walking away from me no matter what I tried.

Indeed, these kind of level games where you unlock stuff was of dreams when i was young, but now its too time consuming and made for people with time to kill.
Ill step aside and admit im over the hill.

Finished Dead Space earlier on Normal difficulty and got the One Gun achievement for completing it with just the plasma cutter on my first playthrough. Unlocked the Military Suit and a butt-ton of money and power nodes for my next playthrough. After that I get to go through on Hard and Impossible, the latter of which you also unlock for completing the game once.
May just end up being my first 1000 pointer as I enjoyed it so much.

I'm just about finished with RE5 and I have absolutely loved that game. I'm not a big fan of the franchise, but they have made some real improvements to the gameplay since the old days.rawisokv wrote:New here but saw this and I had to say what I am playing![]()

Dude, I am SO STUCK on the 'cut the meteorite loose with the beacon attached to it' level right now. I know I can look it up online but LORD, this one is a b!tch !!!Drift wrote:Finished Dead Space earlier on Normal difficulty and got the One Gun achievement for completing it with just the plasma cutter on my first playthrough. I played through a level of Marvel Ultimate Alliance today, hoping to finish that one before the new one comes out, but looking at this now years later... it is just a dungeon drag. The game is pretty lame after all these years. I hope that the new MUA2 and it's Civil War storyline will keep me coming back for more than just dredging through levels, bashing vases and what not just to collect coins and looking for figurines. Don't get me wrong, when this thing first came out I played the $HIT out of it (on PC and had to catch back up to my stopping point when I bought the game for the 360) but today was just... labor.

I loved Dead Space, although it's more of a gore game than a horror game. I'm finally going through MGS4 now.... awesome story, very cinematic and it actually seems to wrap many things up and clear up several odd ball plotlines throughout the rest of the series. Too bad it never got a trophy patch, which is why I waited so long to play it.

Wii Sports Resort is a nice little game, but there's not a lot of chicken on the stick. Another $25 for the MotionPlus (now an extra Wiimote goes $40 plus $20 for the nunchuk plus $25 for the MP!) or $50 for the game ...
I really, really wish they would come up with some kind of achievement system for the Wii and make the online interface as fun and easy as XBLA, but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.
