I will be at San Diego this year. Along with fellow BLVD Studio members Bernard Chang, John Paul Leon, Tommy Lee Edwards, and Trevor Goring. We will be doing commission drawings. As soon as I get a booth # and the price for commissions, I will post them. Be forwarned, that prices are going up, but I do think the drawings are getting better every year.
I may bring Marvel/DC penguins depending on when Marvel gets my new comic project going. If I have time, I will make them to order. Slight possibility that any new penguins will debut at that show, but if so, I will post that here as well (hopefully with a picture).
Best,
-Sean

That's how I read that sentence in my head, any new VALIANT penguins... I'm sure Sean will let us know.Daniel Jackson wrote:Any possibility that any new Valiant penguins may debut?Sean Chen wrote: Slight possibility that any new penguins will debut at that show, but if so, I will post that here as well (hopefully with a picture).

Well, since I last posted here, I have been swamped with Marvel work, which leaves me with nothing penguin related to bring to SDCC. The penguins will have to wait until afterward. A couple new models were in the works, but no time to produce them in any significant numbers for the show.
I will be, however, taking on commission drawings all weekend starting Friday afternoon when I arrive at the con. Bernard Chang has been kind enough to start a list for me as early as Wednesday at the open of the show until I arrive. I'm still not sure what we have decided on as a price for the commissions, but for now, I am asking $120 for a full figure. It will surely be higher than that at the show, but anyone who PMs me to get on the list will lock it in at this price.
See (some of) you at the big show!

Met the man at Wizard Chicago in 02 or 03 I think. He had just finished his run on Wolverine I believe because I was picking up back issues to complete it. I think his Aunt/Mom was with him as well because I came back twice since he wasn't there the first time. (I think it was his Aunt from memory.)
Did a neat Wolvie sketch for me and signed a couple of his first issues on Wolverine great bullet/fire cover. Being that was my first big show it made quite an impression on me because no other artist went out his way like that. I didn't know about his Valiant stuff till a few months after that and helped explained to me at the time why he was so reminiscent of BWS. I buy his issues whenever I can, just for the time he spent with me that one afternoon 6 years ago or so.
