Supanova Sydney 2009

Post by Flinx »

This was a con report I meant to post weeks ago.
Supanova in Sydney was 26-28 June with the international comic guests being Dave Gibbons & Tim Sale, along with local guests of Nicola Scott, Stewart McKenny & Christopher Sequeira.

If you wanted Valiant comics, you would be out of luck as there was virtually nothing there compared to previous years.

I only picked up a few comics, most were for local books, except for a single issue of Starman so Tim Sale could use it for a reference.

It was the first Starman sketch that he had ever done.

Also bought Secret Six #2 page 12 & #4 cover from Nicola Scott.

Sale's Starman looks a lot like Harris' Obergeist.

Nice page and cover find. :thumb:

Well, Sale was using Starman #0 with Harris' cover art as reference.

If had more money available I would have bought the other covers Nicola had for sale.
