So I was able to get to a comic place real quick after school.

I got 6 Lone Wolf and Cub books for .25 each. I'm sure it will take me a long time to get all these, but the fun is the hunt. And I was stoked to get these for so cheap.

I also got #1 and #3 of the Elektra Wolfie books for .25 also. (maybe not a great deal but I have been interested in reading them for a bit.)

I got a Bloodshot 51 for $15, X-O 68 for $15, and an Eternal Warrior #50 for $10 all from a single source! I know the prices aren't a steal but getting these hard to find last issues was alot of fun for me. Now I have complete runs of everything except X-O and Turok I think.

Right now it's definitely a Valiant buyer's market especially on Ebay. Lots of good deals to be had. :thumb:

I'm not sure if this counts as bragging but I just got

Unity 2000 issue 2 for £0.99 + £1.50p+p.

I've not seen one before so getting it for that price was pretty good I thought. Any feedback?

Yeah the pic isn't the best, but I'm not too bothered by condition.

Which is a winner in the UK as most stuff is not high grade out of peoples cheap boxes and so on.

I rarely find untouched Valiant or Acclaim.

Shame, but like you im happy to take anything to fill the gaps and then upgrade later.

Well I finally think I have something to talk about in this thread! I went to a semi local comic shop today [have put it off since I started collecting in August]. Went through all their boxes of sticker priced items. Found two Shadowman V.2 #1 no price variants in Fine condition. I was going to pick them up but they wanted $3 a piece. I have a few of them so I passed.

After 30 minutes of looking through everything I found a Ninjak Newsstand I needed. I was happy with that and was going to leave when I found a .25 bin. I have read so many stories about people finding cool stuff in them. I spent about 20 minutes and found TONS of Defiant books. If I were to guess, I would say 150+ of them. Im not too keen on these so I didnt pick up any for now but I dont believe any of them were rare [as they had multiples of each].

I eventually found an Armorines #3 so I figured, what the heck, Ill keep looking. Came across 3 MINT X-O #56. Not a rare book, but Im sure they are 9.8 grades. A few minutes later I found Ninjak #1 V.2 painted. Again not all that rare but a great find for .25. After about another 15 minutes [there were 6 long boxes of .25 comics] I found my gems!! I found two, Shadowman V.3 #6 issues! Id grade them 9.4s. All in all I paid $5 for everything and walked out a happy camper

I have about 4-5 more semi local shops and Im going to check them all out this week. I never thought Id have such good luck so I might have used it all, but I will never know unless I look :thumb:

For every good deal, there's a thousand bad ones. Fortune favours the tenacious.

I envy some of your finds. I don't have any local bargain bins, so I am relegated to conventions for the joys of digging through quarter bins.

Cheapie bins are pretty much non existent where I live. I honestly don't know how some of the dealers we still have left can afford to sit on their back issues year after year with no one buying them.
