Special thanks to Maximum Comics in Las Vegas.
With my move coming up I decided that I didn't need to carry around the two long boxes of assorted comics anymore. There isn't anything special in them it's just odds and ends from eBay auctions over the last few years.
I stopped by Maximum Comics and asked him if they had any charities that they donated to and if they wouldn't mind taking them off my hands. He explained that they did comic drives for schools and youth organizations but they needed to be kid appropriate. I told him there was some Dark Horse manga crap in the box but I didn't have the time to dig through everything and if he wanted to pull them out he could do what he wanted with them. After a little bit of talking he said that he had a miltary wife from Nellis AFB that came by once a month and picked up about 30 comics that he donates and she sends them to Iraq/Afghanistan for the troops to pass around. I told him that I would be honored to send these books their way if he could be the middle man on this one. I am also going to throw in some of the Military Appreciation comics that Knightt gave me just in case. In trade I got the new issue of Mouse Guard which I wanted to pay for but he wouldn't take payment for.
So today I traded two long boxes for a recent issue of a comic and I walked away feeling that it was the best trade I ever made. If you are ever in Las Vegas please stop by Maximum Comics and drop some coin.
