FINALLY got my X-O ring!!

It took me 15+ years after my old college friend shoved his promo X-O Manowar ring in my face for me to get one, and now I have teh ring!!!111

My preciousssss....

Of course this has re-kindled my interest in Valiant and I'm RE-collecting all the pre-Unity stuff i can find (don't ask why I gave up the collection -- sad story is sad).

Here's a pic of my tarnished ring:

It didn't come with the box, but for $8 shipped I'm very happy with it.

I can barely squeeze it onto my right middle finger and I need to soap the ring up to remove it.

Now if I can only get it to work...

The X-O ring was one of the first things I bought through the forum—a fun piece to have. I wanted one back in day but was in high school and did not have the extra cash. After I completed my pre-Unity set about two years ago I knew that I just had to have one. And by the way I actually have boney fingers so mine is too loose to wear.

My ring works just fine, its just the amount of mushrooms i take to make it work leaves me groggy for at least half a week afterwards.

I didn't get into Valiant until -after- the ring promo and I didn't even see another one until 3-4 years later, going for ~$100 in a comic shop!

Didn't buy it, of course, but a few weeks ago I was leafing through my X-O #0 (seriously, are there any of these NOT signed by Joe Quesada?) and that got me snooping on eBay and I found and won my Holy Grail...well, until I discovered DC will be selling the Green Lantern 'Rainbow Brite' ring collection this fall...

I also found a X-O ring on EBay without the case and actually took it to a jeweler and had it resized for about $50 and have been wearing mine proudly for about 2 years and most people I encounter ask make positive comments about it.
