Early Magnus and Rai

Post by 1A_Freewill »

I remember the first time that I read the early issues of Magnus and Rai and thought, wow, the people behind these books really get it.
Conflicts weren't shown as one sided, with "good guys" versus "bad guys" but everyone was coming from their own perspective and and these stories about social conflict and war had nuances seldom seen in entertainment designed for "kids."
Internal conflict to match the external strife.

Really blew me away.

i loved the political angle of what was going on, i loved it that magnus was really only working for the man for a while, and then quit that-and then they had magnus become the man-not the greatest plan ever...imo

Shooter really made you feel for the characters. Tekla is still one of my all time favorite characters because of the great writing.

Tekla was a great character.

Another cool early character was Willow. I wish they would have done more with her later on.

Yea, it was tragic when she died in the Malve war.
