Speaking of Ex Machina.... The last issue I remember getting was #40 and it has been a looooong while. Did I miss it from my sub or is 40 still the last one out?

If it's up to 40, then according to Vaughn, it's close to his intended finish line, which is # 50. I've heard from some that there have been issues with Harris getting the work turned in on time lately. But, if the book looks THIS good every time, then I don't mind waiting a little bit.

Yeah, the art is good throughout. Looks like it is up to only 40 and yes, Harris is slow.

Yeah, he's always been a bit methodical. I remember Starman coming out a week late now and then because of it. I actually met him, once, at a show not long after Starman began. He was...a very different sort of cat.

Yes indeed. Anything Gaiman did, connected to Sandman, was pretty much the epitome of awesome in comics.

I skipped it and now I regret it. I've got to track down a copy of it. I should've known that it would probably be good since it's Joe Kelly. He said that he envisions this series as his Preacher.

Four Eyes from him has started off really well too.

just finished all star batman....ho hum.

instead of leaving room for character development frank basically took the batman from DKR and gave him more energy. very dissappointing. i think he may've jumped the shark. his scenes with vicki vale were ridiculous, and the constant repetition made me think he'd run out of things to say.

now to read a game of you, and then begin fables!

Lucky you. I would love to be mindwiped and then re-read Fables.

just ordered Fables trade Vol. 2 from DCBS, the price is right, but I guess it's going to be a couple months until I read the next part of it.

I wonder how much I am effected by having Identity Crisis as my basis for DC.
What is Tower of Babel ?

JLA arc that deals with Batman's contingencies to take down the JLA (if need be) after the relations in IC.
OK . . yea I read that . . none of the books after Identity Crisis were actually good on their own . . they kind of rode the wave and got you all excited about Infinite Crisis only to flush those feelings down the toilet . . .

Really? I thought the premise to Tower of Babel sounded good and it is on my TPB want list, but if it's not good, then please tell me so I don't waste my money.

4 really leaves you wanting more RIGHT NOW. 6 is really great too.

Finished Ex Machina up through and including volume # 7. Well, I think I have another series to add to the pull list. Excellent read. Too bad it will only run 50 or so issues, if BKV sticks to his guns.
