you need to have a "host" for your scanned image..once you have that use the Img and /Img buttons before and after the url where the picture is being stored...geocarr wrote:Sure, I got a scanner for Christmas, but I still don't know how to post a scanned image from my computer to the message board. One rare book marked off the list, and an infinite number to go.
Care to share just how much through the nose you paid for it ?
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

Plus or minus $10 bucks on either side... yeah, I'd say that might be a fair price. I would LOVE to get one cheaper but I think I would pay $65 for it, especially in that great shape.Heath wrote:Sweet deal, geocarr! It seems to me that is a pretty fair price, but I don't really know. Knightt?
Besides, just OWNING one is cool... I should have some similiar 'news' here is a couple of days.

I'm getting started with my Eclipse collection and picked these up yesterday for about a quarter apiece, just a few more and then on to Airboy.

Here's one I picked up recently

Future Comics Ashcan #1, it has about half of Freemind #0 in it. It also predates Freemind #0 by one month so I guess that makes this the first Future Comics book. Now I just need to track down that Metallix #7 ashcan for a complete set.
I think this needs to be added to the Future Comics issue list.

Nice find, and good luck on the Metallix #7 ashcan. If you find an extra, keep me in mind!Prelate1 wrote:Here's one I picked up recently

Strangers HC $7.50 shipped. There's still one with the same BIN. Seller's a good enough guy, I've bought from him before. Has some interesting stuff in his store. Same guy that's had those sets of the Phoenix Redshift gold books for a couple of years in his store.

Not DU, but found a sink with waste disposal unit still attached, in a bin. The perfect size to replace my current sink which has a crack in the bottom ( and leaks through to a bucket underneath
).
Found a mirror (for my understair toilet.) And a nice lampshade.
All in the same place ~ the rich side of town.
Was cycling past, took a wrong turn ~ bingo . Made my day. Went back and borrowed a car to pick them up.
EXTRA bonus on the way with the car ~ found a plastic play kitchen for my daughter being thown out by the posh nursery school in the centre of town), it was in perfect condition ~ just had to fix the pump on the sink. Even had batteries to make cooking sounds.
AND
A brand new swing. Still had the label attached. Thats for Archer, I cannot believe it ~ GOD was looking down on me
THEN on the way home I spotted a rocking chair in need of repair ~ which I asked about and got for free. (Already fixed a 1/3 of it in 10 min.)
THEN
when I returned the car, I saw the girl I worked with. She said a certain cabnet (another story) was going to be smashed so pick it up quick! Already stripped and waxed ready for sale.
BONUS ~ AND ALL for free. I love skip diving.
I gave the chair to the girl as a thankyou for the cabinet ~ but I think she doesn't want it. I will fix it for her first and see if she wants it. If not ~ cool I have a chair

We used to put stuff out by the street we didn't want anymore when we lived in Milwaukee and someone would always come by and claim it. We put a ton of stuff out there when we moved, basically all of our old living room furniture, none of which was worth packing up. I thought it was just a Wisconsin thing, good to see it's an international phenomenon.Phantom wrote:Not DU, but found a sink with waste disposal unit still attached, in a bin. Not Du but got this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 3D1&_rdc=1
Approx $5 us dollars including international shipping.
Considering it will be bound at a latter date condition was not an problem. At least the cover is attached.
I saw 1 recently for $15 with detatched cover and in worse condition ~ but with out stamp.
Now to get the rest off Draco and Drift

You see #32 pence copies here in that nick for a few quid, but rarely cent copies.
Im always happy to have older books like that for 1.20.
