Hello. I'm new here!

Post by pizzaparty »

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say hello.

I started collecting comics in the early 90's and was instantly drawn to Valiant while my friends were all about Image. I was quickly attached to the storylines and saved all the money I could to buy them. I even traded my Amazing Spiderman #90 for a copy of Magnus #1 and Solar #1 (was that a good trade?) :)

So here I am almost 20 years later posting on a messageboard! I was a bit apprehensive, but figured I would give it a shot.

I' started getting into comics again a few years back, and started re-reading my Valiants about 6 months ago and I've been obsessed. Help!

Mitch

ps. this is my first time posting on a messageboard.

Welcome, friend.

Pikachu is a little yellow rat with something something something.

Good message board to cut your chops on, friendly atmosphere and plenty active.

Welcome abroad! Depending on how close to NYC you are, it's possible you could meet some of our board members here, as they are meeting at one of the comic-cons going on this weekend!

"Pizza," don't take this talk of getting your perfectly good comics cut up and bound - this is a phase 3 or 4 members are going through right now and I hope they soon see the folly of their ways!

 :P

Thanks guys!

I've been lurking for a while and read all the bound book threads. I just can't do that! You guy's are craaazy.

I actually do a have a few questions about certain autographed (with certificate) books I have that don't seem to be listed on the site.

aaaaand, I'm about 150-200 books away from being complete! not counting Acclaim.

I had most of the pre-unity books from the old days and acquiring friends collections. (i have lots of doubles, up to 5-6 copies even!)

man, this messageboard thang is weird!
