After being disappointed by the end of Secret Invasion #8, I'm not buying anymore of these crossovers until they are finished and I actually hear GOOD things about the way they end.X-O HoboJoe wrote:Anal Crisis 7 sucked sweat off dead dog balls.superman-prime wrote:final crisis 7

The art is not as good as other Crossgen books I've read, but above average.
The story already has me hooked.
Crossgen IS GOOD.![]()
Cheung's artwork gets better and better every issue
You know, now that you said that, #2 was better than #1.

RASL and GL Rebirth. Ronin is moved to the far backburner.
RASL #1 - #3 - The new Jeff Smith book from Cartoon Books.
Picked this up because people at the CGC boards were pimping it. The story is ok, but slow. The art is Jeff Smith drawing people so it's not that spectacular.
If this was a book that comes out monthly, I wouldn't be willing to put money into it every month. Since it's scheduled to be released quarterly (but actually it's more like twice per year), I'll probably check out the next issue whenever it comes out.
GL Rebirth - I've read the first 3 and it's great and I've never really dug GL much. I'm reading this and a few of the GL regular series that I have so I can get a feel for GL before I read the Sinestro Corps War hardcovers I bought.

Just a general thought about my reading habits:
A while ago, I used to do my reading pile a certain way. I put books that I wasn't really excited to read first so I would read them and then be rewarded by finally getting to the books that I pretty much knew I would like.
I'm sure you can guess what happened. I hated reading comics and never got to the ones that I knew I would like and quit reading altogether.
I figured that was a pretty stupid way to do things. So now, I read the stuff I anticipate liking first and then read the so-so stuff last. When a book is last, I consider dropping it. I have always HATED dropping books. I feel incomplete for some reason.
Last time at my LCS, I dropped The Boys. Today, I was wondering why and had some comic title dropping remorse. So I went back and started to re-read the last issue that I have (#25) and I didn't even feel like reading through it at all. So I'm glad I dropped it. Under my old method, I probably would've kept it on just out of habit.
On the other side of this, I really want to finish off my Valiant Commons run to be able to read the whole universe. I think I'm about 40-50 issues away from a complete set of commons, but the ones that I need are mainly Psi-Lords, Armorines, Ninjak, Geomancer..... basically books that I'm pretty certain are going to suck.
I really want to finish off this run, but I don't think I want to force myself to read a bunch of books that probably aren't any good. On the other hand, I'd really like to read the whole universe.
Ok. I'll stop rambling.
I think I'll go for a walk now.

cheung's art really sold me on the scion title. i thought it was terrific-but truthfully i didn't realize how much i liked it until another penciller filled in for him.Elveen wrote:I started Scion from Crossgen. Read the first 2 issues. Exactly what I expected...... very good.

I'm hearing 3 parts for "The Literals", and yeah, I'm VERY much interested in this storyline. It should be great fun.maraxusofkeld wrote:Its going to be 9 parts, I think 3 in fables starting with #83, then 3 in Jack of Fables and then the mini-series. The mini may be 4 issues and the rest less. It is in this month's Previews.
