If Brother J isn't going, does anyone need his pass (cause if not, I know a guy named me, and is so, I'll see you anyway)? Cool to see boss man is coming! Sorry to see Brother J won't be. I saw some undergrounds on the wall at the Lexington Midtown and thought of him (you, if you're reading this) last week. I don't remember what they were, all were mostly in the $10-20 range.

Yep, not going, so go ahead and use the pass (if it's cool with John).

I guess I could have went just for the show, but the main objective was to be there for the Shooter panel, so no go. Just curious if there was a certain reason it was scheduled so late in the day?

Cool about the undergrounds, good to see they are getting some "wall book" attention.

Next time I go to NYC, I intend to actually see some things and places in the city instead of just going from hotel to show to food places/bars like the two other times I've been there.

They have other things in NYC? Weird... All comics and bars near as I can tell. St. Mark's Comics also (very) occasionally has some wall book undergrounds.

My family and I spent over an hour inside The Cathedral Of Saint Johns the Divine over the Christmas holiday. It's longer inside than two football fields, and you can stand in the front vestibule and see almost all the way to the back. I can post a few pics if anyone cares... it's tourist-y without being "touristy," if that makes any sense.

I think most people know here that I am not a religious man, but it's awesome in there, in a very literal sense. I'll dig out my pics and host a few for the internet...

That's funny, I was checking the board for fun on my PDA/phone while in the Futurama movie showing with Greg and saw this and thought it was true. I texted svair and he (or jayjay) called Jim and he confirmed he was coming tomorrow. The reason we really thought it was true was because Shooter didn't come to the show today because he was sick, so I wasn't surprised when I saw a cancellation for tomorrow.

So far the show has been pretty good. I started the day with breakfast with Sean/Dr. Solar and Joe/ZWH, had lunch with Svair, Craig/dellamorte and wife, Sean, and Ross/Rufusharley and Gregg.

Also got my "Glow in the Dark" Solar Penguin with a glowing base, thank you Sean and Mike "Madman" McGuire.

If one wanted to head straight to the correct place to attempt to snag a penguin (that he is fully aware is probably sold out), where would that one go to? Booth number?

Excellent dinner tonight gentlemen!

Bummer. I thought I read on the boards here about a BIG announcement from Shooter at the panel. Bummer.

I guess jdmoonie77's (a guy with all of 28 posts) rumor was a bunch of bunk:
jdmoonie77 wrote:Rumor has it that Shooter is suppose to make a surprise announcement at this February NYCOMIC CON. I was in NYC and heard it from 5 retailers who have a working relationship with Shooter.

Jim just did his thing at the show!. No announcements..

Seminar went extremely well. NYCC staff had to cutoff line as it was standing room only...

Sorry for the guys that didn't make it in..

I did try getting a larger room, unfortunately it was short notice and not available. :!:

Next time I'll insist on larger room.

Thanks to everyone who attended

The seminar was video'd and I'll have more info on the DVD asap..

Even though I didn't get in, I'd rather the place be overbooked. Lets the guy know the demand is still there to hear him.
