Still enjoying VH1, for the most part. I can definitely see the downward slope after Unity, but Pre-Unity memories of these characters keep most of the universe entertaining. Favorite titles are probably H.A.R.D. Corps and the new Rai, least favorites are Turok and Ninjak. Why does Ninjak even exist? They didn't have enough MI-5 titles with Eternal Warrior, Bloodshot and the revamped Secret Weapons?

Anyway, I have some questions...

1) What is Bloodshot's Harbinger ability? Supposedly that's the only reason he and Takao Konishi could survive the Blood of Heroes, but I could never figure out exactly what his power was supposed to be. Was it the electronic telepathy stuff? Do they spell it out for me using simple words anywhere?

2) Secret Weapons #1-2 -- it really looked like Master Darque was visiting Erica Pierce inside that "cincture wormhole" thingy Solar trapped her in, but Darque showed up soon after without a word about it. So was Mothergod the absolute evil Darque and Eclipse were about to release in this story, and was this ever followed up on?

3) Gold Key comics. The old Magnus stories are clearly in-continuity for Valiant, and the Doctor Solar stories are just comic books that Phil Seleski read as a kid, but what about the Turok: Son of Stone stories? All I really know about them is they exist. Are they part of the Valiant Universe, too?

1) Yes. Bloodshot's Harbinger ability was his "power" to communicate with electronics. The shock of the nanite injection "popped" his latent Harbinger ability. This was revealed in SECRETS OF THE VALIANT UNIVERSE #1.

2) Yes, Pierce was the "demon" (just as Geoff referred to her as a 'sun demon' back in the UNITY sage) that Darque was trying to communicate with. Tony Bedard was supposedly working on a story in which Pierce was freed from her 'cincture wormhole' by one of the StarWatchers and it would take the combined might of the heroes of the 41st Century and 1994 to try to stop her. While TB claimed this wouldn't be "Unity II," it sure sounded a lot like it (since it was never published, it matters little except as a cool aside). Readers never saw her until UNITY 2000, which was never completed.

3) Turok's GK tales are 'canon' as far as I understand it.
