You are right, it is the exception anymore. It makes getting a deal like that all the more sweeter when you do find one. Nice going.

Due to the weakness of the US dollar, one Euro equals about 1.35 USD and in Britain 0.7 Pounds.
That is nad news for the European (exporting) economy, but good news for those who collect US comics since imported goods from the US are relatively cheaper :)

I just picked up all four Quantum & Woody TPBs for $5 CDN apiece, along with a bunch of late 70s/early 80s Marvel and DC issues. Grades are:

Quantum & Woody KYAG TPB FN (VF but small tear at bottom of spine)
Quantum & Woody Director's Cut TPB VF
Quantum & Woody Holy S-Word We're Cancelled TPB VF
Quantum & Woody Magnum Force TPB NM-

Cheers,

One more good deal:

Magnus 1, 12 & Rai 2, 3 & 5 all gorgeous 9.4 or better.
+
Original Turok 1; Deathmate Pink; Unity 2000 # 2 & 3; and Turok Seeds of Evil & Adon's Curse (holy s-word! those things are massive).

All for $58.50; not overly stunning in and of itself. But the free throw-ins:

X-O 15 Pink
&
nearly 40 various copies of Valiant Voice didn't hurt. Including a complete set :thumb: Nice white copies averaging VF/NM.

The extras are available for sale: # 2, 4 & 7 thru 17 + 19.
Only 1 copy of the elusive # 11 available and 2 copies of # 19. Scans available upon request.

If interested send me a PM or email: hulk181@comcast.net

Thanks Kevin/Solar. It sure seems that way.

I almost missed the Valiant Voice issues and happened upon them in a 3 for $1 box right before checking out. I asked if a discount was available on the whole lot so the shop owner added them as a throw-in.

Use the force young Jedi....

So you want to know my source. Isn't that like asking someone how much money they make or asking a woman her age ?

But I was in Chalfont on a recent business trip....

Latest buy:

Just picked up my first ever VVSS issue (I buy the regular issues & usually don't bother with signed or variant books unless I find them cheap).

Psi-lords # 1 (VVSS) - $1.00. There was an old $19.95 tag on it (from another store) and the store-owner tore it off when he saw it and re-priced it using Overstreet. What a man!

From the 3/$1.00 bin. Valiant Freeview 2nd print; Magnus 12, 61,63 & 64, Armorines 2 (V2); Bloodshot 48 & 51; Rai 0, 31-33; Harbinger 40; Q&W 20 & 21; Shadowman 43; Solar 52-58.

A few others of note:

Shadowman V3 #1 (no price variant) $2.28
Shadowman V2 #16 (glow) VF- $7.42
Solar HC (opened) $26.50

Plus various pre-unity books for a buck or two.

You guys are awesome!

I stopped by a comic shop in State College yesterday (GO Penn State) and took 2 of their 5 copies of Valiant in the entire store. All commons but 50 cents each for ones I needed. Arrrrggggggghhhh! They looked at me like I was from Mars when I asked if there were any others around.

Interesting note: He asked if I had heard someone may buy the rights to the Valiant universe. I said I heard something about it.

Hey Knightt, nice pickup on the Shadowman 16. I like the price you found much better than mine.

BTW, Fort Huachuca ? That's cool. My little brother and his wife are getting stationed there in August. They're currently wrapping things up in Fort Polk. Did you spend any time in Iraq?
